승마여가에서 전문화 수준이 몰입과 만족에 미치는 영향

Abstract

승마는 신체적, 정서적 효과가 결합된 복합적인 형태의 여가활동으로 승마에 대한 대중적 관심이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 대중적 저변이 넓어지고 있는 승마참여자의 특성을 파악하고 승마참여자의 전문화 수준이 몰입과 만족에 미치는 영향을 규명함으로써 승마 대중화를 위한 유용한 정보들을 제공하고자 하는 것이다. 또한 전문화 이론을 승마참여자에게 확장 적용함으로써 전문화와 관련된 이론적 토대를 두텁게 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 목적과 관련된 연구들에 대한 이론적 고찰을 바탕으로 전문화, 몰입, 만족의 변수들을 도출하였으며, 설정된 가설은 ‘전문화는 몰입에 영향을 미칠 것이다’, ‘몰입은 만족에 영향을 미칠 것이다’, ‘전문화는 만족에 영향을 미칠 것이다’이다. 실증연구를 위해 서울과 경기에 위치한 승마클럽 회원 240명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 가설검증 결과 전문화 수준이 높은 승마참여자일수록 몰입도가 높으며, 몰입도가 높은 승마참여자일수록 만족도가 높다는 가설은 부분적으로 채택되었다. 또한 전문화 수준이 높은 승마참여자일수록 만족도가 높다는 가설도 부분적으로 채택되었다. 본 연구는 여가활동의 하나인 승마에 대한 전문화가 미치는 영향을 파악함으로써 전문화의 연구대상을 확장시켰다는 점에서 기여하는 바가 크다. 또한 승마참여자의 전문화가 몰입과 만족에 긍정적 영향을 미친다는 점을 규명함으로써 향후 승마대중화에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하였다.;Within the increasing interest in horseback riding as a leisure activity, this study investigated the effect of specialization on commitment and satisfaction in the horseback riding context. Two hundred forty responses of horseback riders were collected. To analyze the collected data, exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed. The result indicated that both specialization’s effect on commitment and commitment’s influence on satisfaction were statistically significant. In addition, a horseback rider who had a higher level of specialization reported a higher degree of satisfaction. This study would contribute to the development of knowledge about specialization in the leisure and tourism fields. As the findings of this study indicates, practitioners related to horseback riding industry should pay more attention to the specialization level of horseback riders to attract new participants and retain the existing horseback riders.
