청소년의 정서적 학대 경험과 비자살적 자해의 관계

Abstract

본 연구에서는 중·고등학교 재학 중인 청소년을 대상으로 하여 정서적 학대 경험이 자기체계손상, 정서조절곤란을 통해 비자살적 자해에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 출생연도를 기준으로 15-19세 청소년을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 이들 중 자해기능평가지(FASM)에서 1회 이상 자해 했고 자해시 자살의도가 없었다고 응답한 자료에서 불성실한 응답이나 대학 이상 재학생, 학교를 다니고 있지 않다고 응답한 자료를 제외하여 중·고등학교 재학 중인 청소년 총 326명의 자료를 비자살적 자해 연구를 위한 분석 자료로 사용하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정서적 학대, 청소년의 자기체계손상, 정서조절곤란, 비자살적 자해와 정적 상관을 보여 청소년의 비자살적 자해는 정서적 학대, 자기체계손상, 정서조절곤란과 관련성이 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 정서적 학대는 비자살적 자해에 영향을 미치는 직접 경로가 유의하지 않았고 매개 요인에 의한 간접효과가 유의하여 비자살적 자해를 설명하는 Nock(2009)의 통합적 모델과 이 모델을 정교화한 Jacobson과 Batejan(2014)의 수정된 비자살적 자해의 통합적 모델을 지지하는 결과를 얻었다. 셋째, 정서적 학대와 청소년의 비자살적 자해의 관계에서 자기체계손상은 완전매개효과를 나타냈다. 넷째, 정서적 학대와 청소년의 비자살적 자해의 관계에서 정서조절곤란은 부분매개효과를 나타냈다. 다섯째, 정서적 학대와 청소년의 비자살적 자해의 관계에서 자기체계손상과 정서조절곤란이 이중매개효과를 나타냈다. 본 연구에서 정서적 학대에서 청소년의 비자살적 자해로의 직접 경로는 유의하지 않았고, 정서적 학대는 자기체계손상과 정서조절곤란을 통해 비자살적 자해에 영향을 유의하게 미치는 것이 확인되었다. 이는 정서적 학대를 경험한 청소년의 비자살적 자해를 예방하거나 중단하고, 청소년을 자해로부터 보호하기 위해 자기체계의 회복을 돕고 정서를 수용하고 조절하는 능력을 향상하며, 자기돌봄을 할 수 있도록 청소년의 상담 및 치료, 부모교육과 상담 개입이 필요함을 시사한다. | This study researched effects of emotional abuse on non-suicidal self-injury through traumatized self-system and emotion dysregulation, focusing on adolescents attending in middle and high schools now. It surveyed adolescents aged from 15 to 19 based on their year of birth. It selected subjects who answered that I have ever harmed myself more than once but I have not intention ot suicide in the Functional Assessment of Self-Multilation (FASM). From the surveys, excluding insincere responses, college students, and students not attending schools, this study utilized 326 surveys of adolescents who are attending in middle and high schools now as analysis data for the non-suicidal self-injury research. Major results of this study are as follows. First, this study found that there is a positive correlation among emotional abuse, traumatized self-system of adolescents, emotion dysregulation, and non-suicidal self-injury, so that the non-suicidal self-injury has a correlation with emotional abuse, traumatized self-system, and emotion dysregulation. Second, this study found that the emotional abuse did not a have significant direct path to influence non-suicidal self-injury, and indirect effects are significant depending on mediating factors. It supported an integrated model of Nock(2009), which explains non-suicidal self-injury by noting indirect effects from mediating factors, and its elaborated model that is a revised integrated non-suicidal self-injury of Jacobson and Batejan(2014). Third, this study found that the traumatized self-system had complete mediating effects in a relationship between emotional abuse and non-suicidal self-injury of adolescents. Fourth, this study found that the emotion dysregulation had partially mediating effects in a relationship between emotional abuse and non-suicidal self-injury. Fifth, this study found that the traumatic self-system and the emotion dysregulation had dual mediating effects in a relationship between emotional abuse and non-suicidal self-injury of adolescents. This study found that the direct path from the emotional abuse to the non-suicidal self-injury of adolescents is not significant and the emotional abuse has significant effects on the non-suicidal self-injury through traumatic self-system and emotion dysregulation. These results mean that counseling and remedy of adolescents and the parent education and counseling intervention are necessity to improve capability that can help recover self-system and accept and control emotion and to take self-care in order to prevent or cease non-suicidal self-injury of adolescents who have experienced emotional abuse and to protect adolescents from self-injury.
