코로나-19 대유행 상황에서 발달장애아동을 돌보는 부모의 경험에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 코로나-19와 같은 재난 상황에서 발달장애 아동을 자녀로 둔 부모의 경험을 심층적으로 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 현재 전국에 걸쳐 장애아동 복지서비스를 활발히 이용하고 있는 장애아동 부모를 대상으로 지역 사회 장애아동복지관의 협조를 얻어 총 6명의 연구참여자를 선정한 후 심층면담을 진행하였고, 수집된 자료는 합의적 질적 연구방법(CQR)을 사용하여 분석하였다. 자료를 분석한 결과, 부모 개인의 내부적 요인에 의한 고충, 부모를 둘러싼 외부 환경적 요인에 의한 고충, 발달장애 아동의 부모가 바라본 아동 개인의 내부적 요인에 의한 고충, 발달장애 아동의 부모가 바라본 아동을 둘러싼 외부 환경적 요인에 의한 고충, 발달장애 아동 및 부모에게 필요한 국가적 지원까지 총 5개의 영역이 도출되었고, 이하로 총 12개의 범주와 36개의 하위범주가 도출되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 코로나-19와 같은 재난 상황에서 발달장애 아동의 부모와 그들 자녀가 느끼는 재난에 대한 생생한 경험을 다각적으로 밝히는데 의의를 둘 수 있다.

| This study is to examine experiences of parents caring for children with developmental disability in disaster situations like COVID-19 in depth. For this research, it selected a total of six research participants through a cooperation of a local disabled welfare center for children, focusing on parents caring for disabled children, who are actively using welfare services for children with disability in the whole nation, and then it conducted in-depth interviews. It analyzed the collected data by using Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR). As a result of data analysis, this study deduced a total of five domains, including difficulties caused by internal factors of the parents, difficulties caused by external environments surrounding the parents, difficulties caused by internal factors of the children, which parents observe, difficulties caused by external environments surrounding the children, which parents observe, and national supports that the children with disability and their parents need. Under the domains, it deduced 12 categories and 36 sub-categories. Based on these results, this study has a significance that it revealed multilateral vivid experiences of difficulties which children with disability and their parents would feel in disaster situations like COVID-19.
