과학커뮤니케이션을 활용한 과학교양교육 교육적 경험 확산연구 －교내외 ‘과학철학교양’ 교육적 체험을 토대로－

Abstract

교양교육현장에서 과학교양교육의 중요성이 강조되고 있지만, 과학교양교육의교육적 실천을 위한 교육목표 설정과 교육과정 설계 및 운영에 있어서 그 기준을모색하는데 어려움이 커지고 있다. 무엇보다도 교양교육 분과에서 과학교양교육이 주목해야하는 교육적 목표는 의사소통이라고 볼 수 있다. 이를 위해서 과학커뮤니케이션을 활용한 과학교양교육의 교육적 체험을 본 논문에서 소개하려고 한다. 본 논고에서는 과학커뮤니케이션에 기초한 과학교양교육의 교육적 경험 확산에 대해 살펴보았다. 이를 위해서 과학커뮤니케이션을 활용한 교육목표를 정서적 목표, 콘텐츠 목표, 방법 목표, 성찰 목표, 참여목표, 정체성 목표를 통해 과학커뮤니케이션의교육목표가 과학교양교육에 어떤 방식으로 구현될 수 있는지 학습자 중심으로 제시했다. 다음으로 과학커뮤니케이션에 기초한 과학교양교육의 양상을 국내외 과학커뮤니케이션을 통해 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 과학커뮤니케이션에 기초한 과학교양교육의 교육적 경험을 6C(협력ㆍ의사소통ㆍ콘텐츠ㆍ비판적 사고ㆍ창의적혁신ㆍ자신감) 역량 측면에서, 학습자들의 과학커뮤니케이션 교내외 활동을 통해 과학커뮤니케이션에 기초한 과학교양교육과 과학문화 저변 확대 요구를 탐색했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. Although the importance of science liberal arts education is being emphasized in the field of liberal arts education, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find standards in setting educational goals for educational practice of science liberal arts education and in designing and operating a curriculum. Above all, communication is the educational goal that science education should pay attention to in the liberal arts department. To this end, this paper introduces the educational experience of science liberal arts education using science communication. To this end, the educational goal using science communication was examined with the focus of learners to see how the educational goal of science communication can be implemented in science education through the emotional goal, content goal, method goal, reflection goal, participation goal, and identity goal. Next, the aspect of science liberal arts education based on science communication was examined through domestic and international scientific communication. Finally, the educational experience of science liberal arts education based on science communication was examined in terms of 6C (cooperation, communication, contents, critical thinking, creative innovation, confidence) through the activities of learners inside and outside the school for science communication. This study is meaningful in that it explores the demand for science education based on science communication and the expansion of the base of science culture.
