dc.description.abstract | Just before 10 years ago, a computer is recognized as a toy of computer engineers or a substitute of typewriter. However, in the threshold of 21st century, it not only makes an inroad to our daily life deeply but is regarded as an indispensable thing in human being`s life, as it is observed in the project, "99 Internet Survival Game". This enables a business person to hold face to face meeting with designers or buyers in overseas through on-line, correct design and discuss major issues. But infra-structure is insufficient and users are confined to the specific group. As a result, it is required to more careful study on computer aided weaving design to overcome the dependence of import in textile industry and imitation and to develop our own traditional design. The purpose of this is to investigate the weaving generally through investigating the literature and variety of Weaving CAD System and its properties and also weaving computer system that can be used, directly connected to computer. And it also endeavored to investigate its practical use based on the theories and the various pattern by the variation of thread form and the effect of color. It is proved that computer work is more efficient than manual work in weaving design, as a worker can plan various patterns, change color image more easily. Adding this, computer work reduces working hours and operation expenses dramatically, it expands the added value. And considering convenience in keeping designs, the facilities in changing information one another, simulation effect before merchandising, it is indispensable to use CAD in weaving design area. On account of these reason, the application of weaving and its effects must be studied systematically among both university and industry. And we must try to research more throughly weaving CAD area for mutual cooperation in the textile industry along the development of use of computer. | en_US |
