성인 아토피안의 삶의 이야기를 토대로 한 아토피안 예비상담교사의 협력적 자문화기술지

Abstract

1. AD sufferers experienced physical pain and discomfort, while their psychological pain strongly associated with AD was often overlooked. 2. Although the focus is on a disease called AD, this study aims to help counsellors acknowledge and improve their knowledge of AD and increased awareness of mental health comorbidity in patients with AD while AD sufferers are on their journey to normality. Based on this result, a pre-registration counsellor's role and treatment direction were reviewed and advised, and a future research direction was suggested.|본 연구는 아토피안 예비상담교사가 성인 아토피피부염 환자의 질병경험을 질적으로 탐색한 협력적 자문화기술지 연구이다. 소아‧청소년시기부터 시작되는 환경성질환인 아토피피부염 경험을 질적으로 기록하며, 이를 토대로 질병에 대한 더 확장된 이해를 돕는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 연구문제는 ‘아토피피부염을 가진 환자에게 아토피는 어떤 의미를 가지는가’에서 시작해 ‘아토피피부염을 가진 환자는 자신의 삶을 어떻게 해석하는가’, ‘아토피피부염을 가진 환자는 자신의 질병특성과 경험을 사회문화적 제도와 규범 속에서 어떻게 해석하는가’, ‘이러한 질문은 교육학적으로 어떤 의의가 있는가’로 확장된다. 이를 위해 질환과 질병의 차이, 환경성질환과 아토피피부염이 무엇인지에 대해 탐색하였다. 또한 만성 재발성의 염증성 피부질환인 아토피피부염을 가지고 살아온 성인 아토피피부염 환자를 인터뷰했으며, 이를 토대로 개인의 질병서사를 분석하고 구체화하는 협력적 자문화기술지 방법을 사용했다. 연구자는 최소 10년 이상의 유병기간을 가진 아토피피부염 환자 중에서도 자신의 질병과 질병으로 인한 삶의 경험을 표현할 수 있는 30대~40대 여성 환우 4명을 대상으로 인터뷰함으로서 연구자와 비슷한 시기에 동일한 질병을 진단받고 살아온 다양한 아토피피부염 서사를 분석하였다. 연구자는 인터뷰라는 협력적 과정을 통해 아토피안들이 아토피피부염을 어떻게 경험하였는지 살펴보고, 예비상담교사로서 아토피피부염을 사회문화적, 교육학적으로 탐색하고 이해하려 했다. 연구 결과, ‘특별하다고 생각한 나’, ‘특별하지 않다고 하는 사람들’, 나는 어떻게 살아가야 하는가‘의 3가지 범주가 도출되었다. 해당 연구의 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아토피피부염을 경험하는 이들의 신체적, 심리적 고통을 질환이 아닌 질병의 차원으로 접근하였기에 이들을 대하는 상담자에게 아토피피부염이 무엇이고 이들이 구체적으로 어떤 경험을 하고 있는지 이해를 제공할 수 있다. 둘째, 본 연구는 아토피피부염이라는 질병을 토대로 접근했지만, 결국 모든 질병의 모든 아픔에 대한 자세에 대해 생각해 볼 수 있으며, 정상으로 나아가는 과정이 아닌 있는 그 자리 그대로에서의 질병경험이 온전히 인정되어야 하는 점을 상담자의 입장에서 이해할 수 있도록 돕는다. 이러한 결과를 기반으로 예비상담교사로서의 역할을 고찰하고 제언하였으며 추후 연구방향을 제시하였다.; A very few studies can be found on the relationship between Atopic Dermatitis(AD) and its associated effect on sufferers mental health in Korea. Symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and other psychological distress often emerge later in AD sufferers' lives. This study is a collaborative autoethnography in which an atopic pre-registration school counsellor explores the experience of adult AD sufferers using a qualitative study method. This study aims to display a deeper understanding of AD and highlight the association between AD and mental health conditions in adults diagnosed with AD during their early childhood or adolescence. The research questions are prepared to show adult AD sufferers' insight into the disease and in-depth knowledge of AD, and the appropriate and holistic treatment direction. 1. What does AD means to sufferers? 2. How does AD affects their day to day life? 3. What is their experience within the community as an AD sufferer? 4. What is the significance of these questions pedagogically?. This study characterised and explored environmental disease and AD. In addition, adult AD sufferers who lived with AD with recurrent chronic inflammatory skin disease were interviewed. A cooperative, collaborative autoethnography method was used to analyse and present the individualized narratives of each illness based on interview results. Four female AD sufferers aged between the 30s and 40s participated in one-on-one interviews for this study. Four participants were carefully selected as per preorganised criteria; the time of AD diagnosis, duration of AD treatment, e.g. ten years plus and signs and symptoms of AD. During the interviews, individuals AD experience, understanding of AD within the community and its understanding within pedagogical setting were explored with the eyes of a pre-registration school counsellor. Results viewed three distinctive catergories; ‘odd me’, ‘ordinary/unremarkable me’ and ‘how should I live my life’. This study reveals the counsellor’s approach when treating AD sufferers
