선웨이(沈偉)와 양리핑(楊麗萍)의 작품에 내재된 동양적 안무특성 연구: 작품 <봄의 제전(The Rite of Spring)>을 중심으로

Abstract

As people's ideas constantly progressed, people's pursuit of art increased and quickly promoted the development of dance art. All cultural phenomena are the product of the development of the times, and all art forms also have the cultural characteristics of each nation and represent the unique traditional cultural personality of each nation. The elements of traditional Chinese culture are symbols of Chinese Eastern thought and contain the crystal of human mental wisdom since ancient times. Chinese choreographers were baptized with traditional Chinese cultural elements and gained oriental thought, oriental wisdom, and oriental beauty. This includes expressions that embody the national characteristics and spirit of the times of traditional Chinese culture such as literature, language, religion, plays, martial arts, Taegeuk, calligraphy, painting, and dance. Through thousands of years of transmission and transformation, traditional Chinese culture has become unique and deep affection and has become the spiritual value of the Chinese people. The work <The Rite of Spring> is a work that marked a milestone in the history of Western music in the 20th century, and still has the value and meaning of high research. The reason why <The Rite of Spring> was able to become a classic work was that it has been recognized for a long time in the field of music and dance with artistic value through rediscovery and re-appreciation, and choreographers have continuously interpreted it by generations. In this paper, Chinese choreographers Shen Wei and Yang LiPing's <The Rite of Spring> was analyzed. They discovered that this classic work was reborn in the form of Chinese Eastern thought. Therefore, through this study, I would like to analyze the characteristics of the oriental choreography shown in two works, <The Rite of Spring> created by Chinese choreographers Shen Wei and Yang LiPing. Influenced by oriental ideas, the two Chinese choreographers Shen Wei and Yang LiPing each have oriental choreography characteristics and have created a masterpiece <The Rite of Spring> with hundreds of years of history from a novel perspective over two years. Looking at the characteristics of the choreography of the two choreographers, Shen Wei and Yang LiPing, the Eastern ideas of China were melted into the work <The Rite of Spring> to fuse East and West cultures. However, the two choreographers showed differences in understanding, definition, and expression of the work <The Rite of Spring> because the growth environment, living environment, and educational background were different. Therefore, the <The Rite of Spring>, newly created by the two choreographers, melts Eastern ideas into the work through different dance methods and shows its characteristics well. The creative perspectives and artistic techniques shown by the two choreographers Shen Wei and Yang LiPing led to the convergence of contemporary dance, oriental elements, and oriental ideas by providing a good foundation for oriental art ideas in modern dance| 사람들의 사상 관념이 끊임없이 진보함에 따라 사람들의 예술에 대한 추구가 갈수록 높아졌고 무용예술의 발전을 빠르게 촉진시켰다. 모든 문화 현상은 그 시대 발전의 산물이며, 모든 예술 형식 또한 각 민족의 문화적 특성을 가지고 있고 각 민족의 독특한 전통적 문화 개성을 나타내고 있다. 중국 전통문화 요소는 중국 동양 사상의 상징으로서 고대부터 인류의 정신 지혜의 결정체를 담고 있다. 중국 안무가들은 중국의 전통문화적 요소들의 세례를 받아 동양 사상과 동양적 지혜, 동양적 미를 갖게 되었다. 문학, 언어, 종교, 희곡, 무술, 태극, 서예, 회화, 무용 등 중국 전통문화 민족적 특성과 시대정신을 구현한 표현들이 이에 포함된다. 수천 년에 걸친 전승과 변천을 거치면서 중국 전통문화는 독특하고 깊은 정을 내포하게 되었고 중화민족의 정신적 가치가 되었다. 작품<봄의 제전>은 20세기 서양음악사에 한 획을 그은 작품으로서 지금도 높은 연구의 가치와 의미를 가지고 있다. <봄의 제전>이 고전 작품이 될 수 있었던 것은 재발견과 재감상을 통해 예술적 가치를 지닌 음악 분야나 춤 분야에서 장기간 인정받아 왔고, 세대별로 안무가들이 지속적으로 해석을 해왔기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 중국 안무가 선웨이와 양리핑의 <봄의 제전>을 분석하였다. 그들은 중국 동양 사상의 형식을 가지고 이 고전 작품을 재탄생 시켰음을 발견하였다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 중국 안무가 선웨이와 양리핑이 창작한 두 편의 작품 <봄의 제전>에 나타난 동양적 안무특성을 분석하고자 한다. 동양 사상의 영향을 받은 두 중국 안무가 선웨이와 양리핑은 각각 동양적인 안무특성을 갖고 있으며, 2년에 걸쳐 참신한 시각으로 수 백년의 역사를 지닌 명작 <봄의 제전>을 만들어 냈다. 선웨이와 양리핑 두 안무가의 안무특성을 살펴보면, 중국 동양 사상을 작품 <봄의 제전>에 녹여 동서양 문화를 융합시켰다. 그러나 두 안무가는 성장환경, 생활환경, 교육적 배경이 서로 다르기 때문에 작품 <봄의 제전>에 대한 이해와 정의, 표현방식에 차이를 보였다. 따라서 두 안무가가 새롭게 창작한 <봄의 제전>은 서로 다른 성격의 춤 방식을 통해 동양 사상을 작품에 녹였고 그 특징을 잘 보여준다. 두 안무가 선웨이와 양리핑이 보여준 창작적 시각과 예술적 기법은 현시대 무용에 나타난 동양적 예술 사상의 기초와 좋은 토대를 제공함으로써 현대무용과 동양적 요소, 동양적 사상의 융합을 이끌어 냈다.
