상담자의 경력과 사례개념화 능력의 관계

Abstract

본 연구는 상담자의 경력이 사례개념화 능력에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 마음챙김과 인지적 유연성의 매개효과를 살펴보고 그 경로에 대해 알아보고자하는데 그 목적이 있다. ﾠ 이를 위하여 상담 경험이 있는 상담자 261명을 대상으로 수집한 자료를 수집된 자료는 SPSS Statistics 21.0과 Process Macro 3.5를 활용하여 분석하였다. 상담자의 경력, 사례개념화 능력, 마음챙김, 인지적 유연성 간의 영향 관계를 검증하기 위해 Pearson의 상관분석을 실시하였고 상담자의 경력이 사례개념화 영향에 미치는 영향에서 마음챙김과 인지적 유연성의 단순 매개효과를 각각 확인하기 위하여 단순회귀분석 및 다중 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 또한, 상담자의 경력과 사례개념화의 관계에서 마음챙김, 인지적 유연성의 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 Process Macro을 사용하고 Bootstrapping을 실시하여 검증하였다. ﾠ 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주요 변인인 상담자의 경력, 사례개념화 능력, 마음챙김, 인지적 유연성 변인 모두 상호간의 유의한 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 상담자의 경력은 마음챙김을 매개로 사례개념화 능력에 미치는 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 본 연구에서 상담자의 경력은 인지적 유연성을 매개로 사례개념화 능력에 미치는 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 상담자의 경력과 사례개념화 능력의 관계에서 마음챙김과 인지적 유연성이 순차적인 이중매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. ﾠ 본 연구는 상담자의 경력과 사례개념화 능력 사이에 작용하는 상담자의 내적 능력의 경로를 밝혔다는데 의미가 있다. 또한, 상담자의 마음챙김과 인지적 유연성을 촉진시키는 것이 상담자의 전문성을 보여주는 척도인 사례개념화 능력의 향상에 기여한다는 사실을 밝힘으로써 상담자 교육과정에 있어서 두 내적 기술이 중요하게 고려될 필요성을 제시하였다. 끝으로 본 연구의 제한점과 향후 연구방향을 기술하였다.

| This study has a certain purpose to consider the mediating effect of mindfulness and cognitive flexibility and to identify its pathway based on the effect of counselor’s experience on case conceptualization ability.

For this, this study collects the dada from 261 counselors, and it analyzes the data by SPSS 21.0 and Process Macro 3.5. Moreover, to verify the counselor’s experience, case conceptualization ability, mindfulness, and cognitive flexibility, this study also conducts the Pearson’s correlation analysis, and it conducts the simple regression and the multiple regression analysis to verify the mediating effect of mindfulness and cognitive flexibility on the effect of counselor’s experience on case conceptualization ability. Also, it conducts the Process Macro and Bootstrapping to verify the mediating effect of mindfulness and cognitive flexibility in relationship between the counselor’s experience and case conceptualization.

The results are as follows, first, there is a meaningful mutual correlation among the counselor’s experience, case conceptualization ability, mindfulness, and cognitive flexibility as major factor. Second, this study figures out that the counselor’s experience has a meaningful effect on the case conceptualization ability through the medium of mindfulness. Third, based on this study, the counselor’s experience has a meaningful effect on the case conceptualization ability through the medium of cognitive flexibility. Fourth, at last, in a relationship between the counselor’s experience and the case conceptualization ability, the mindfulness and cognitive flexibility have a consecutive double mediating effect.

In a conclusion, this study has a significance that the pathway of counselor’s internal ability has proven in a relationship between the counselor’s experience and case conceptualization. Moreover, this study suggests the importance of mindfulness and cognitive flexibility in the counselor’s curriculum by verifying that promoting the counselor’s mindfulness and cognitive flexibility can contribute to increase the case conceptualization ability as a parameter of the counselor’s professionalism. At the end, this study has a description for its limitations and future direction of research.
