Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the change in perception of professional volleyball using news article search information based on big data. As a keyword for data search, keyword results for professional volleyball in 2020 and 2021, and the top 30 keyword were analyzed to compensate for the limitations of network simplification and network visualization centering on important nodes in entire network. The N-gram network analysis and word cloud visualization were conducted in stages. The main analysis results of the study were as follows. First, the top 10 words extracted based on the keyword of professional volleyball 2020, professional volleyball (1,923), player (1,169), popularity (834), fan (822), all-star (713), professional baseball (606), photo (578), Yohan Kim (552), handsome (488), game (475). Second, keyword with high frequency of appearance in 2021 were professional volleyball (5,587), school violence (4,472), apology method (3,230), season (2,824), twin sisters (2,505), victims (2,378), Jae-young Lee (2,257), press conference (2,099), Lee Da-young (2,025), and Heungkuk Life Insurance (1,976) were in the top 10. Most of the keywords related to professional volleyball in 2020 were positive words, and as negative words were exposed for keywords related to 2021, we could see that it was necessary to improve overall at the professional volleyball association and the club level.
