대학생들의 정서 억제 성향과 대인관계 문제의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구는 대학생 223명을 대상으로 정서 억제 성향과 대인관계문제 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 이들 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시가 매개효과를 나타내는지 확인하고자 하였다. SPSS 20.0 통계프로그램을 사용하여 구조모형을 설정하고 각 변수의 상관관계와 영향력을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 정서 억제 성향이 높을수록 대인관계문제와 완벽주의적 자기제시적 성향도 높아진 것을 확인하였으며, 완벽주의적 자기제시 성향이 높게 나타날수록 대인관계문제를 더 많이 겪는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 정서 억제 성향과 대인관계문제간의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시가 완전매개효과를 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 정서 억제 성향이 클 때 완벽주의적 자기제시를 매개로 하여 대인관계문제에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 시사한다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 타인과의 조화를 이루는 것이 미덕인 우리나라의 문화적 맥락에서 타인의 시선을 의식하고, 감정을 억제하는 것이 대인관계에 부적응적으로 작용할 수 있음을 확인한 것이었다. 자기(Self)의 진정한 욕구를 은폐하기보다 진솔하게 경험하고 이를 바탕으로 자신에 대한 이해, 더 나아가 타자를 이해하고 포용하여 대인관계문제를 해결하기 위한 접근을 제시하였다는 연구결과로서의 의의를 갖는다. The purpose of this study is to examine whether the influence of Emotion Suppression has direct or indirect effects on Interpersonal problems, and to determine whether perfectionistic self-presentation has Mediating effect between Emotion Suppression and Interpersonal problems. A survey was conducted on 223 college students from all over the country for data collection. The structure model was set up using the SPSS 20.0 statistical program and the correlation and influence of each variable was examined. Findings are as follows: Firstly, there was siginificant correlations among Emotion Suppression, Interpersonal Problem, and Perfectionistic Self-Presentation. Secondly, the relationship between the Emotion Suppression and Interpersonal problems was completely mediated by Perfectionistic Self-Presentation. Finally directions for future study and the implication of this study are discussed.
