아르누보 쥬얼리의 디자인경향에 대한 연구

Abstract

아르누보에 대한 일반적인 견해는 산업사회로 접어들면서 나타난 기계생산의 부작용에 대한 반발로, 예술 영역 내에 확립되어 있던 기존의 가치 질서를 무너뜨리고 과도한 장식을 남용, 단절된 운동으로 평가되어지는 의견이 지배적이었다. 그러나 아르누보는 전통을 부정하고 새로움을 추구하는 20세기 양식의 계기가 되었다. 다시 말해 아르누보는 당시로서는 상당히 혁신적인 새로움을 추구하였고 이 새로움은 예술에 있어서 그 영향력을 확대시키고 현대예술에서 보여지는 다양하고 혁신적인 면모를 존재하게 하는데 원동력이 되었다는 것이다. 아르누보 이후 현대 장신구는 상업적인 장신구와 예술적 장신구로 나뉘어 발전하게 된다. 또한 20세기 후반에는 모든 예술이 예술가들의 독창성에 의하여 그 가치를 평가 받게 되었고, 예술 교육과정에 장신구가 포함되면서 예술의 독립적인 분야로 발전하게 된다. 아르누보 장신구와 현대 장신구의 공통점은 장신구의 대중화와 예술적 위치의 확립을 꼽을 수 있다. 이와 같은 현상을 가능하게 했던 이유 중 하나는 과거 장신구가 지녔던 화폐적 가치에서 벗어나 예술가들의 영감과 개성적인 표현에 대한 의지가 뒷받침된 것임을 알아야 할 것이다. 또한 이는 아르누보가 현대 장신구의 확립에 끼친 영향력이 크다는 것을 알게 해준다.

It is known that Art-Nouveau occurs with hatred about mechanical production and because of excessiveness, this movement is thought discontinuation. However, Art-Nouveau starts from humanitarianism and it pursue innovation and overcome tradition. Art-Nouveau present modern jewelry`s goal and methodology. Modern jewelry`s character, a new experiment in design and free thinking resemble closely Art-Nouveau. Such Art-Nouveau character divide into artistic jewelry and commercial jewelry. We should not overlook the fact that the free use of such materials was not only prompted by the curiosity for the new materials but was supported by the unique inspiration of artists and their will to express their unique, individual ideas and spiritual world. We may point out that the Art-Nouveau influence over the establishment of the modern jewelry.
