Abstract
The 21st century is the era of the digital world with incredibly rapid changes. Also, the lifestyle of consumers is continuously changing along with the environment. Among these changes, particularly, the whole process or production of clothing, eating, and housing is becoming environment-friendly and the living trend for a healthy future where both humans and the earth eventually coexist is rising as an important factor in life. Thus organic products are naturally being highlighted. This environment-friendly organic trend also affects the clothing area Therefore, this study will investigate the trend in organic fashion and fabric materials as a new market among many organic markets that are expanding with the changes of society, to recognize the importance of environment-friendly organic fabric materials as a new market and to promote the development of fashion and fabric designs in this aspect. Research methods included investigations on the changed trends in the consumer market based on literature reviews and market surveying, and on characteristics and trends of current fabric materials and environment-friendly organic fabric materials. Also, the use of environment-friendly organic fabric materials in fashion brands favored by consumers was studied. Results of this study were as follows: 1. As consurr^rs become more interested in organic products, they tend to a live nature-friendly life, breaking from the existing lifestyle,even if it means paying more money. Thus, the plans and production of apparel made from environment-friendly materials are more and more expanding. 2. The area of natural fabric materials in today's textile industry is expanding in favor of the consumer's environment-friendly awareness. 3. Environment—friendly fabric materials are organically grown materials without any chemical fertilizers or insecticides. 4. Ralph Lauren and Giorgio Armani have used organic material before 10 years ago. 5. With a preference for organic materials, the whole process of fabric designs, including dyeing, processing, and sewing is done in a more nature-friendly way. 6. The most century marketing in most of the famous brands is the environment-friendly issue.
