박영란 작곡 "해금과 25현 가야금을 위한 <공간속으로>" 분석 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 “해금과 25현 가야금을 위한 <공간속으로>”를 연구대상으로 하였다. <공간속으로>에서 주선율인 해금선율을 중심으로 악곡구조와 선율분석 및 연주기법을 분석한다. 해금과 가야금의 역할과 관계를 분석한다. 이를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 박영란 작곡 해금과 25현 가야금을 위한 <공간속으로>는 총 327마디로 이루어져있으며 Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ.a, Ⅲ.b, Ⅳ 주제로 구분한다. 주제 동기인 2도 진행을 각각 다른 방식으로 풀어낸 ‘A-B-C-D-E'형식이다. 독주해금으로 시작하여 선율의 반복, 변형, 가야금과 타악기와의 결합으로 진행된다. 셈여림과 리듬, 음정, 박자의 변화로 주제 ‘Ⅰ.홀로 외로이’, ‘Ⅱ. 움직임의 시작(망설임)’, ‘Ⅲ.a 열정 - 열정의 시작’, ‘Ⅲ.b 열정 - 열정의 춤’, ‘Ⅳ. 다시 제자리로’를 나타냈다. 둘째, 해금은 주선율로 주제를 명확히 제시한다. 가야금은 다양한 역할로 해금을 보조한다. 가야금은 독립적인 선율을 연주하여 해금과 동등한 위치에서 대결구도를 이루기도 한다. 또한 리듬을 강조하여 타악기적인 효과를 나타내기도 한다. 타악기가 고조되는 부분에 추가되어 사운드를 풍성하게 하고 리듬을 선명하게 하였다. 셋째, 주선율을 주로 연주하는 해금에서 다양한 연주기법이 사용되었다. 농현, 글리산도, 트레몰로, 잉어질, 중음주법 등의 기법으로 선율을 진행하였다. 이를 통해 미세한 움직임, 격렬한 움직임 등을 표현하였다. <공간속으로>는 전통음악을 기반으로 하여 현대음악 어법을 적절히 섞어 조화를 이루는 곡이다. 작곡가는 공간 속에서 생물의 크고 작은 움직임을 담아냈다. 또한 중의적 의미로 실수를 반복하고 시행착오를 겪다 상처를 받아 전진하지 못하고 한 자리에 머무는 인간의 삶을 나타냈다. 이 논문을 통해 작곡가들의 국악기를 활용한 작곡에 도움이 되길 바란다. 또한 이 작품을 연주하는 연주자들이 곡을 이해하고 실질적인 연주에 도움이 되기를 바란다.; This thesis studies “Into the Space for Haegeum and 25-string Gayageum.” It analyzes the music structure, melody analysis, and performance techniques based on Haegeum melody, the main melody in “Into the Space.” It analyzes the roles and relationships of Haegeum and Gayageum. The summary is as follows. First, Park Young-ran’s composition, “Into the Space for Haegeum and 25-string Gayageum,”consists of a total of 327 measures and is divided into movementsⅠ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ.a, Ⅲ.b, and Ⅳ. This is the ‘A-B-C-D-E’ format, which expresses the section motive of the second motion in different ways. It begins with a Haegeum solo, and proceeds with repetition of melody, transformation, and combination of Gayageum and percussion instruments. With the change of dynamics, rhythm, pitch, and tempo, it expresses the movements ‘I. Lonelily by Oneself’, ‘Ⅱ. The Beginning of the Movement (Hesitation)’, ‘Ⅲ.a Passion – Beginning of Passion’, ‘Ⅳ. Again in Place’. Second, Haegeum clearly presents the theme through the main melody. The Gayageum assists Haegeum in various roles. The Gayageum takes charge of an independent melody itself, which allows for a showdown between the two distinct melodies within the composition. It also has a percussive effect taken place through emphasizing the rhythm. With the percussion added to the climax of the piece, the sound is enriched and rhythm is sharpened. Third, various performance techniques were used in the Haegeum part, which generally plays the main melody. The melody was performed using various techniques, such as, vibrato, glissando, tremolo, ing-eo-jil, and double stop. Through this, various movements such as fine movements and drastic movements were expressed. Into the Space is a piece that is based on traditional music and mixes modern musical diction appropriately to create harmony. The composer captures big and small movements of creatures in the space. In addition, it ambiguously shows the life of a human being who repeatedly made mistakes and experienced trial and error that one could not move forward and stays in one place. I hope this thesis will help composers using Korean traditional instruments with their compositions. Also, I hope that those who play this piece will be able to understand the song and help them perform in a way that captures the essence of it.
