Abstract
This paper investigates the modeling of commercial articulated vehicle for yaw stability improvement. A tractor-semi-trailer vehicle is a large commercial vehicle consisting of a semi-trailer which carries a load and a tractor which tows semi-trailer, Incase of traffic accidents caused by commercial vehicles are especially dangerous. Because the semi-trailer truck has larger size and mass than the vehicles. Most of major accidents occur because of commercial vehicles yaw roll stability. Through modeling of commercial vehicle to 5 wheel model, model can be used simulation with control algorithm. It is verified that the proposed modeling is effective for improvement of commercial vehicle`s yaw and roll stability. The modeling proposed in this paper is validated by computer simulation software, TruckSim and MATLAB/Simulink.
