워터파크의 국내_외 실태조사

Abstract

국민소득 증대와 휴무일 증가와 웰빙문화의 정착, 한류문화와의 확산 등에 힘입어 워터파크의 시설의 수요가 급증하게 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 증가 추세에 비하여 기획이나 기술수준은 매우 취약한 현실을 고려하여 워터파크의 시설물 중심의 조성은 처음에는 비교적 흥미를 끌 수 있으나, 이용횟수가 거듭됨에 따라 흥미가 반감되므로 다양한 프로그램의 도입과 강한 테마성을 도입한 휴식형과 건강오락형을 동시에 추구할 수 있게 구성해야 한다. 이상에서 살펴본 문제점을 해결하기 위한 개선방안으로는 다음에 제시된 사항으로 정리해 볼 수 있다. 첫째, 공공기관의 적극적인 참여를 유도하며, 기업의 상업성을 목적으로 한 워터파크 조성만이 아닌 건전한 국민레저의 장으로 개발하는 것이 시급하다. 둘째, 강한 테마성을 가지면서 가족, 친구들과 함께 즐길 수 있도록 모든 연령층이 공감할 수 있는 테마를 설정하여 일상생활과 차별화된 환상적인 공간으로 만들어져야 한다. 왜냐하면 이는 앞장에서도 살펴보았듯이 점점 더 많은 워터파크들이 이러한 추세를 따르고 있으며, 빠르게 변해가는 사람들의 라이프 스타일에 발맞추기 위한 효과적인 해결방안이기 때문이다. 셋째, 4계절의 구별이 뚜렷한 우리나라 기후조건을 극복하기 위하여 워터파크의 유형 중 오락형과 건강_휴식형을 동시에 충족시킬 수 있는 워터파크를 조성해야 한다. 넷째, 시설물 설치 중심의 단순한 워터파크 계획이 아닌 다양한 프로그램 도입과 효과적이고 체계적인 관리_운영방안을 모색하여 이용자들이 적극적으로 참여하는 생동감 있는 레저공간으로 계획되어져야 한다. 마지막으로 워터파크의 효과적인 기획과 설계에 충분한 고려와 검토가 이루어져야 하겠고 시공, 유지 운영하기까지 지속적인 안전과 청결유지 또한 중요하게 고려되어져야 한다. 결국 워터파크의 효율적인 조성이 필요하다는 결론을 내릴 수 있다.; Today, recreational activities are important parts of everyday life, as they have been conducive to improvement of life quality and enrichment of living experiences. 'Water Park', a new type of leisure space which has emerged lately, is a complex aqua space equipped with not only swimming pool but also various amusement, health and recess facilities. The purpose of this study is to review the new type of sound leisure space or 'Water Park' in terms of theory and cases and thereby, explore its model suitable to our conditions. In particular, the researcher attempted to determine the identity of water park with its most fundamental and important element, namely theme expressed effectively and therewith, explore a design technique for water park, which would meet users' needs for special environment and atmosphere, while organizing the space allowing for comfortable, pleasant, rich and happy experience of life. Owing to rising GNP, more holidays, prevailing well-being culture and expanding Korean culture, demands for water park are rapidly increasing, indeed. However, planning and operating techniques do not seem to catch up with such increasing demands. In addition, the facility-centered water park plan may interest users at first, but such an interest would be lessened over time. All in all, it is deemed essential to introduce more diversified programs to the water park and at the same time, set a strong sense of theme for effective research and healthy amusement.
