L.v.Beethoven의 연가곡 "An die ferne Geliebte, op.98"에 대한 반주 연구

Abstract

Beethoven의 "An die ferne Geliebte, op.98(멀리 있는 연인에게)"는 고전시대와 낭만시대의 독일 연가곡 형성에 중요한 역할을 한 최초의 연가곡이다."An die ferne Geliebte, op.98"는 총 여섯 개의 독립적인 곡으로 구성되어 있다. 그러나 각 곡은 끝 겹세로줄이 아닌 겹세로줄로 연결되어 있어서 마치 여섯 개의 곡이 하나의 곡으로 연결된 것처럼 작곡되었다. 이 여섯 곡들의 연관성은 이러한 구성뿐만 아니라 조성, 선율, 리듬에 의해서도 분명히 나타나고 있는데 이러한 연관성들이 대칭구조로 표현되고 있다. 또한 베토벤은 반주파트를 성악선율에 대한 종속적인 부분으로 보지 않고 성악선율과 대등한 음악적 위치로 올려놓았다. 그리하여 베토벤은 "An die ferne Geliebte, op.98"를 통해 독일 연가곡 형성에 중요한 업적을 이룩하였다. 본 논문은 세 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 서론은 베토벤 가곡의 전반적인 음악적 특징에 대해 논한다. 본 논문의 주요부분인 본론에서는 "An die ferne Geliebte, op.98"의 전반적인 특징을 살펴보고, 각 곡의 리듬, 화성, 선율, 그리고 반주부의 특징을 연구하였다. 그리고 이러한 분석이 실제 연주 시 어떻게 적용되는지에 대해서도 고찰하였다. 결론에서는 "An die ferne Geliebte, op.98"의 연구를 통해 베토벤의 음악적 특징을 정리하였다.; "An die ferne Geliebte, op.98"by Beethoven emerged as the first song cycle in the history of German art song in the Classical and the Romantic period. It is comprised with six independent songs. However, each song ends with double bar, not with the solid double bar lines which means conclusion of the song. Therefore, we could assume that composer intended six songs to be considered as one related cycle of songs. These songs are acquainted together in terms of form, tonality, melody, and rhythm. One more important factor that draws attention of"An die ferne Geliebte, op.98"is the enhanced role of the accompaniment part. Symmetry is the important tool that holds six songs together tightly. Beethoven understood that the accompaniment part is no longer subsidiary to the vocal line, but acquires the equal importance to the vocal line. The thesis consists of 3 chapters. In the introduction, the brief survey of the characteristics of Beethoven art song is included along with the purpose of this research. In the chapter two that is the main part of this thesis, the musical features of"An die ferne Geliebte, op.98"are discussed with the emphasis on melody, harmony, rhythm, and accompaniment part. Preceded by the study of the"An die ferne Geliebte, op.98", implications on actual performance is featured. Lastly the conclusion reveals the musical characteristic of Beethoven through"An die ferne Geliebte, op.98"
