Abstract
Poly(ethylene glycol)-protected silver clusters(PEOAgMPCs)는 α-methoxypoly(ethylene glycol)ethyl 2-mercaptoacetate (PEO-SH)와 dimethyl form amide(DMF)를 용매로 한 은나노 입자로부터 합성하였다. PEOPU/LiCF₃SO₃/PEOAgMPCs In recent years, the market for consumer electronic products and the call for environmentally compatible vehicles have motivated the research and development of electrochemical power sources characterized by high energy, high power densities, good cyclability, reliability, and safety. To satisfy consumer’s demands, additional improvements in the electrochemical and mechanical properties of electrolytes are needed. However, Electrochemical properties of PEO-LiX electrolyte do not satisfy user’s demands. In this study, we investigated the addition of metal nanoparticles as a additives for PEO-based polyurethane polymer electrolytes. Novel polymer electrolytes can be fashioned by using polyether MPC ligands, such as thiolated poly(ethylene glycol). Poly(ethylene glycol)-protected silver clusters (PEOAgMPCs) were synthesized from α-methoxypoly(ethylene glycol)ethyl 2-mercaptoacetate (PEO-SH) and silver nanopart-icles in DMF. And the properties of the PEOAgMPCs-added poly(ethylene oxide)-based solid polymer electrolytes(SPE) using LiCF₃SO₃ as a lithium salt were investigated. The chemical structure of the PEO-SH was determined by FT-IR, ¹H NMR, and ^(13)C NMR spectroscopies. Dispersion properties of PEOAgMPCs were investigated using transmission electron micrograph (TEM) and dynamic light scattering(DLS). The dispersion of PEOAgMPCs in DMF has 10~13nm average core size and good uniform dispersity. The conductivities were studied using AC impedance. The ion conductivity of PEOPU/LiCF₃SO₃/PEOAgMPCs is 10^(-5) S/cm at room temperature. Thermal properties were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and differential scanning calorimeter(DSC). Combining metal core size with a 52% organic fraction determined by TGA. DSC analysis indicated that effect of PEOAgMPCs content on the glass transition temperatures(T_(g)) of PEOPU phase were different in salt-free and salt-added hybrids. T_(g) of amorphous PEOPU generally shifts towards the high temperature with addition of salt. T_(g) of SPE film with addition of PEOAgMPCs and salts shows the low temperature than with addition of salt only. The SPE films were containing LiCF₃SO₃ dissolved in a 8:1, 16:1 and 24:1 [ether oxygen]:[Li^(+)] ratio. Amount of PEOAgMPCs was 10wt.%.
