Abstract
The recent business environment is surrounded by uncertainty in which we can see no further than our noses and is changing rapidly. In the environment like this, in order to sustain growth, we have to raise learning abilities and secure the new knowledge-orientated competitive advantages of the organization by accommodating to the environment. So, the learning organization should be constructed by sustaining learning and obtaining new knowledge. Hereupon, the purpose of this study is to analyse what influences the five disciplines of the learning organization have on organization member's attitudes and to find out the direction to develop human resources and learning organization in an educational institute. Survey method is taken as an empirical analysing method for this. In order to find out accurately what relations there are between the disciplines and the attitudes, the survey was carried out to more than five-year-old institutes that are representative of several cities. 170 copies were collected in total. The data were analysed by SPSSWIN12.0 statistic program. The results of the survey follow; First, all of the five disciplines of learning organization have a positive influence on organization members' attitudes, job satisfaction, job commitment and innovative behavior. That is, it is released that the better learning organization is constructed in an organization, the more its members are satisfied with their job and the more they are devoted to their job and the more they try to behave innovatively. Second, job satisfaction is affected by mental model, team learning and system thinking during the five disciplines positively. That is, they can be more satisfied with their job through ⅰ) understanding or perception system of conditions experienced in life, ⅱ) the understanding of the dynamic relation of the whole and part in that perception system and ⅲ) the procedure in which their abilities are unified and developed to achieve the purpose of their team. Third, job commitment is affected positively by all of the five disciplines except system thinking. That is, like the preceding, mental model, team learning and system thinking are important but personal mastery is also important to job commitment, and it affects larger than others. It is saying that people can devote themselves to their job when their surroundings harmonize with the essential values they pursue in life. Fourth, innovative behavior is affected positively by personal mastery during the five disciplines. Creative and active efforts or actions for a member of organization to improves himself or the group or organization that he is in, comes out of the efforts to create the essential values that he pursues terminally in his own life. That is, it is found that a member of organization makes more creative, original and active efforts of innovative behavior when Creative tension maintains, which is induced by the gap between individual's vision and present condition.
