Cesar Franck의 Choral NO.2 in b minor의 분석 연구

Abstract

세자르 프랑크(Cesar Franck, 1822-1890)는 종교적 색채가 강한 작곡가로서 오르간 작품 중 생애 마지막 해에 작곡된 <세 개의 코랄(Trois Chorals)>은 완벽한 형식과 풍부한 음향을 가진 작품으로 평가 받고 있다. 바흐(Johann Sebastian Bach, 1685-1750)가 코랄 선율을 기초로 작곡했던 것과 달리 프랑크는 코랄과 비슷한 선율을 직접 작곡하여 곡의 주요주제로 사용 했다. 삼위일체의 하나님을 묘사했으며 상징성을 내포하는 면과 구조적인 면에서 공통점이 발견되어 세 곡이 하나의 작품으로 연결되어진 것을 알 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 먼저, 프랑크 음악의 배경이 되는 19세기 프랑스의 오르간 음악에 대해 알아보고 프랑크의 생애와 주요 오르간 작품을 특징과 함께 기술하여 여러 작곡가들의 영향을 받는 과정을 관찰하였다. 또한, <세 개의 코랄>이 가지는 연계성을 파악하기 위해 상징적 구성에 관한 연구와 함께 구조적인 부분을 비교 분석하였다. 마지막으로, 프랑크의 음악적 특징을 잘 나타내고 있는 Choral No.2 in b minor를 분석 하였는데 이 곡은 즉흥적인 간주부와 푸가토를 포함하는 파사칼리아 변주곡 형식이며 4마디의 균형악구를 사용하였고 주제가 으뜸조인 b minor에서 시작하여 딸림조인 f#minor로 종지하며, 각각 제시되었던 제1주제와 제2주제가 동시에 겹쳐서 연주되는 부분이 나타난다. 바흐, 베토벤(Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827), 바그너(Wilhelm Richard Wagner, 1813-1883)의 영향을 받아 바로크 시대부터 19세기 후기 낭만주의 시대까지 각 시대적 특징을 반영하였고, 이와 같은 특징들이 프랑크만의 독특한 음악적 요소들과 결합하여 그 만의 독자적인 성격의 음악을 구축하였다.; Ce^(')sar Franck(1822-1890) was a composer with a strong religious coloring. <Trois Chorals> was composed in the last year of his life. His organ works have been recognised as the works having perfect form and abundant sounds. Compared to Johann Sebastian Bach(1685-1750) who composed his work based on a choral melody, Franck directly composed a melody similar to a choral as the major theme of the tune. He called the trinity God, where the common points were found in terms of implying a symbolic representation and a structural aspect. Therefore, it is possible to discover that these three tunes are connected in the one work. In this study, the analysis was performed on the organ music in France, in the 19th Century. This became the background for the music of Franck. Then the life of Franck and his organ works together with those characteristics were described so that the process that he was influenced by a number of composers could be observed. Furthermore, in order to find out if the linkage existed in <Trois Chorals>, a comparison and analysis was made of its structural field, in addition to its symbolic field. Lastly, a final analysis was made of the Choral No.2 in b minor that represents the musical characteristic of Franck well. This tune is in the form of passacaglia variations containing an impromptu episode and a fugato, where the 4-phrase balanced sentence exists. The theme starts in b minor, the tonic key, and ends in f#minor, the dominant key. Later, the part where the suggested 1st theme and the 2nd theme are performed in an overlapped position. Influenced by Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven(1770-1827), Wilhelm Richard Wagner(1813-1883), the characteristic of each period is reflected throughout the entire rea, from the Baroque era through the post-Romanticism era in the 19th Century. Such characteristics are combined with the unique musical elements of Franck, where his music in his creative nature was set up.
