단말의 이동성 모델을 이용한 이종망에서의 효율적인 자원 예약 알고리즘

Abstract

다양한 유/무선 통신망과 접속 기술의 발달로 상용자들의 통신 접속 기술에 대한 선택의 폭이 넓어 졌다. 이러한 무선 네트워크 환경은 서로 다른 무선 접속 기술로 구성된 중첩된 무선망 구조를 갖게 될 것이다. 이러한 통합된 무선 인터넷 환경에서 사용자들은 이동시에도 끊김없는 QoS(Quality-of-Service)를 제공 받을 수 있어야 한다. 하지만 제한된 서비스 영역과 혹은 현재의 네트워크 특성에 따라서 서비스가 제한될 수 있다. 이동 단말은 다른 네트워크로 이동할 때 마다 핸드오버 과정과 자원 예약 절차를 수행해야 한다. 특히 이동 단말의 속도가 매우 빠른 경우, 무선 랜과 같은 서비스 영역의 크기가 작은 네트워크 환경에서는 빈번한 핸드오버와 자원 예약을 수행해야 한다. 따라서 단말의 이동 특성과 각 이종 망들이 가진 특성 및 자원의 상태를 고려하여 사용자에게 원하는 품질의 서비스를 제공해 주어야 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 먼저 단말의 이동 속도와 이동 방향 이용한 이동 패턴을 분석하여 단말의 다음 위치를 측정하고, 측정된 위치 범위 영역에 포함된 이종의 망들 중에서 가장 적합한 망을 선택한다. 이를 통해서 이동 단말은 이동 중에도 QoS를 보장 받을 수 있으며, 네트워크는 자원 이용 차원에서 이웃의 모든 셀들의 자원을 예약하지 않고 측정된 이동 범위에 포함되는 셀들에 대해서만 자원을 예약하므로 보다 효율적으로 관리 할 수 있다. 불필요한 셀의 예약을 최소화 하고, 사용자의 서비스를 보장할 수 있도록 제안 하였다.; With the growth of wired and wireless networks technologies, mobile users are expected to demand the same QoS(quality of service) available to fixed users. This wireless networks will be heterogeneous networks which have different characteristics such as service coverage, bandwidth, delay time, etc. This paper proposes a algorithm to guarantee various service levels of mobile users. When mobile users move to neighbor networks, they need to achieve the handover and advanced resource reservation. Predictive mobility pattern of mobile user can be used for handover and resource reservation. So this scheme uses gauss-markov mobility model for prediction of terminal speed and direction, and then network selection algorithm is used for selecting the most network. As a result, our approaches reduce handover time and the number of pre-reserved cells and support more reliable and seamless connectivity to all nodes in heterogeneous networks.
