정동희 작곡 〈임종피리와 18현금을 위한 어린 여행자〉분석 연구

Abstract

본고에서는 개량악기인 임종피리를 위하여 작곡된 정동희 작곡의〈임종피리와 18현금을 위한 어린 여행자〉를 분석함으로서 곡의 장단 선율 리듬 구조를 알아보고 임종피리의 구조, 음역, 운지법을 신곡피리와 비교하면서 임종피리의 이해의 도움을 주고자 한다. 이 곡은 장단의 변화에 따라 도입부 제Ⅰ부, 제Ⅱ부, 제Ⅲ부, 제Ⅳ부, 제Ⅴ부, 제Ⅵ부로 나누어진다. 도입부는 Fm key를 중심으로 이질감을 주기위한 경과음 Db, Eb, G 음이 사용되며 Tempo rubato로 연주된다. 제Ⅰ부는 4/♩.의 느린 중중모리장단으로 도입부와 같은 Fm key 로 되어있다. 제Ⅱ부는 동살풀이 1/2장단+부정놀이장단이 하나의 패턴을 이루면서 연주된다. Cm key로 시작되어 Ebm key로 다시 Cm key로 조가 바뀌며 Ebm key 부터는 메나리조를 활용하여 연주한다. 제Ⅲ부는 ♩=110, 부정놀이장단으로 구성된다. 제Ⅳ부는 4/4박자에, ♩=ca84이며 Cm key로 구성된다. 제Ⅴ부는 ♩=ca110~120 이고 도입부와 같이, Fm key로 구성된다. 제Ⅵ부는 Fm key로 제Ⅰ부와 같이 느린 중중모리로 구성된다. 〈임종피리와 18현금을 위한 어린 여행자>는 민속악에 사용되는 추성과 퇴성 꺽는 시김새등을 개량악기인 임종피리에 사용하여 전통적 주법과의 접목을 시도하였으며, 진계면과 메나리조 등 전통적인 선율을 사용하고 장단의 변화와 농음의 수법을, 활용하여 표현법을 강조함과 동시에 현대적인 작곡기법을 통하여 개량악기인 임종피리의 가능성을 모색한 곡이라 할 수 있다.; This paper investigated the structures of meter, melody, and rhythm of the Korean traditional music and compared structures, compass and fingering of Imjong Piri with those of Singok Piri to help people understand Imjong Piri, by analyzing the piece,〈Young Traveler for Imjong Piri and 18-String Zither〉composed by Jeong Dong-hee. This music is divided into Introductory Part, Part Ⅰ, Part Ⅱ, Part Ⅲ, Part Ⅳ, Part Ⅴ, and Part Ⅵ according to the changes in meter. The introductory part is played with Tempo Rubato, using such passing notes as Db, Eb, and G, in order to present heterogeneous effect centering on Fm key. Part Ⅰ comprises Fm key like the introductory, playing in the slow meter of 4/♩. dubbed, “Slow Jungjungmori Jangdan.” Part Ⅱ is performed with “Dongsalpuri 1/2 Jangdan” conjoined with “Bujeongnori Jangdan.” These different meters (or pronounced “Jangdan” in Korean) produce one single pattern. It begins with Cm key, and changes its key into Ebm, and again into Cm. From Ebm key, this part is played, using “Menarijo.” Part Ⅲ is ♩=110, consisting of “Bujeongnori Jangdan.” Part Ⅳ is ♩=ca84 at 4/4 beat, consisting of Cm key. Part Ⅴ is ♩=ca110~120, comprising Fm key like the introductory part. Part Ⅵ is played with Fm key, consisting of slow “Jungjungmori Jangdan” like Part Ⅰ. In 〈Young Traveler for Imjong Piri and 18-String Zither〉 the composer, Jeong attempted to engraft such embellishing techniques used in the folk music as Chuseong (making tone slow down and diminishing gradually at the end of the sound, 推聲), and Toeseong (raising pitch slightly at the end of sound and move rapidly to next note, 退聲), and the melodic decoration that makes the sound turn suddenly in an accentuated manner (pronounced, “Kkeongneun Sigimsae”) onto the traditional music playing method through means of applying such techniques to the Imjong Piri, which is an improved Korean musical instrument. Also, it can be said that this is a defining piece that sought the possibility of Imjong Piri, which is an improved and advanced traditional Korean music instrument, through modern composition techniques, emphasizing its expression methods simultaneously through means of using traditional melodies, including Jingyemyeon (very sad and deplorable sound as the central tone, 眞界面), Menarijo, and the likes, as well as of utilizing the changes in rhythmic beats and the techniques of vibrato (pronounced, “Nongeum” 弄音) or the added trills and turns that make the melodic lines more elaborate.
