도심 속 역사 문화 환경의 새로운 건축적 제안

Abstract

과거 우리의 도시환경은 각 지역간의 교류적 미비로 그 지역적 특성이 상당히 강했다. 그러나 급속한 경제 발전에 따른 도시의 치우친 양적 성장은 문화적 다양성을 동질화 시켜버렸고, 질적 성장인 우리의 전통 문화유산과 정신은 지역적 상업주의에 가려져 지역민의 관심을 떠난지 오래이다. 이러한 도시환경 도시조직은 재활성화 계획이 필요하다. 도심 속에서 재활성화를 위한 공공공간으로서의 장소성은 그 성공 여부를 결정짓는 대단히 중요한 사항이나 역사적인 도심에서 적절한 부지를 찾기는 매우 어렵다. 반면 오래된 도시의 경우 도심지역에서 역사적 건물을 찾기 쉬우나 상당 경우는 현 시대에 합당한 적절한 용도를 부여받지 못한 채 쇠퇴하거나 나아가서는 주변 지역의 발전을 저해하는 요인으로 지목 받기도 한다. 이러한 배경에서 도심에 잔존하는 역사적 건물의 전용은 퇴락한 건물에 문화적 기능 혹은 기타 공공기능을 새롭게 부여함으로서 주변 지역의 활성화를 꾀할 수 있다. 조선시대 우리의 역사 중 하나인 경희궁은 주변 상업건물에 가려 그 인지도가 상당히 낮다. 지나간 시간, 그리고 그 자취로써 박제화된 과거의 재현이 아니라 과거의 재해석을 통해 현재에서 살아 꿈틀거리는 어울림을 만들어냄으로써 시간과 공간의 역사가 동시에 체험될 수 있는 도심의 단편물을 계획한다.; Culture has been influenced on the mode of living for human through time. Futhermore, it became much more important factor to give an impact to the daily life of people at present time. The main purpose of this study is to analyze functions and characteristics of historically cultural space in urban and suggest several improvement of Seoul Museum of Art. By re-using the palace area, architects bypass the needs to create the memorable form that is deemed essential in other modern art gallery. And simply borrow it from the old place, with adaptations. Art gallery, which is to be a organic space of many different types of exhibition, and the grand hall has the potential to be a great public space made by the variety activity. The rise and fall together with the prosperity and decay of a rayal palace are recorded in historical documents, the actual architectural reality is often beyond our understanding. The purpose of this study is to understand the reconstruction and the current status of a royal palace space.
