종교시설을 통한 지역 커뮤니티 형성에 관한 연구

Abstract

도시의 밤하늘에 별처럼 반짝이는 수많은 교회의 붉은 십자가들은 기독교 교회임을 구별하는 사인은 될지언정 비 기독교인들이 그 형태언어를 통해 기독교의 본질과 사명을 전달받지 못하고 있는 우리의 현실이다. 지금 우리가 살고 있는 도시의 교회건축의 상황을 살펴보면 건물의 크기가 곧 교회의 성장을 대변하듯 양적 성장에 주력해 오면서 지역사회에서 고립되는 양상을 보이며 본래의 역할과 사명을 담당해 오지 못한 사실을 부인 할 수 없다. 시대가 변함에 따라 교회건축도 변해 왔다. 초기교회의 태동과 함께 시작된 박해는 가다콤바에서의 교회를 낳았으며, 중세에 이르러 절대적으로 인식되어온 하느님은 고딕양식에서 그 절정에 이르렀고, 이후 교회의 분열과 함께 과학의 발달, 현대인간의 내면적 변모들은 새로운 교회관과 어울러 교회건축에 있어서도 새로운 사상을 낳고 있다. 과거와는 달리 급변하는 현대사회에서 교회건축은 단지“예배의 장소”만이 아니라 현대 사회의 여러 가지 복잡한 기능을 수용할 수 있는 장소로 변화해가고 있으며, 교회건축은 지역사회의 종교적 기능뿐만 아니라 사회적 기능까지도 수용하는 건물로서 일반 다른 현대 건축, 즉 커뮤니티 센터와 이와 유사한 건물과 동화하는 경향까지 보이고 있다. 더 나아가 일부 교회들은 건물의 각 층에 청소년 문화공간, 웨딩홀, 도서관, 갤러리, 카페, 스포츠 시설 등을 배치하여 지역 주민들에게 개방하고 있다. 교회의 장벽을 낮추면서 평범한 삶의 세계에 스스럼없이 다가가려는 몸짓은 교회의 부흥으로 보답된다. 좁은 공간이지만 지역사회에 개방하여 주민들의 복지와 문화에 기여하는 교회들이 최근에 늘어나고 있다. 따라서 문화 선교의 비전은 단순히 예배의 이벤트적 즐거움을 재고하는 데 머물러서는 안 된다. 예능의 세련된 연출이라는 좁은 의미를 넘어, 생활 그 자체를 변화시키는 힘으로 문화의 개념을 확장해야 한다.; Red crosses of great many church which shine to night sky of city are symbol that display Christian church. But, non-Christians do not know Christian essence and mission through the symbol. Church building in modern city have made efforts in quantitative growth. As a result, was stood alone in local community, and is not doing charge of church original part and mission. As age changes, church building have changed. Early church "Catacomb" was persecuted with beginning. and middle ages, church building arrived from Gothic style to summit. From development of science with dissolution of after this church, new change in church building is occurring. Unlike in the past, the church building in a rapidly changing modern society, not just "a place of worship", is changing to place that can accommodate several functions of modern society. Church building is accommodating social function as well as religious function of local community. And function of area community center is doing. Some churches are opening to local residents arranging teenagers culture space, Wedinghol, library, gallery, cafe, sports facilities etc. in each floor of building. Effort to approach to plain life lowering wall of church is requited by reconstruction of church. Narrow space, but open in local community and church which contribute in welfare and culture of the people is increasing. Therefore, vision of culture missionary work must not stay in event of worship simply. Pass over narrow meaning that is polished representation of art, must extend concept of culture in force that change life itself.
