클라우드 컴퓨팅 발전방향에 관한 연구

Abstract

전세계를 강타하고 있는 금융위기 속에서 많은 국내외 기업들이 IT투자를 보류하거나 예산을 대폭 삭감하고 있다. 금융 위기가 실물 경제에도 영향을 미치면서 금융권 뿐 아니라 대다수의 기업들이 허리띠 졸라매기에 나서고 있다. 골드만삭스 조사에 의하면 주요 기업들은 '08~'09에 걸쳐 IT 인력의 감축, 프로젝트의 축소와 연기, 컨설팅과 하드웨어에 대한 투자 축소에 나설 것으로 예상된다고 밝혔다. 이런 상황에서도 과연 뜨는 IT 비즈니스가 있을까? 2008년 구글, 마이크로소프트, IBM, 썬마이크로시스템즈 등 대형 IT기업들은 클라우드 컴퓨팅 시장에 뛰어든 이후로 IT의 신규 키워드인 '클라우드 컴퓨팅'은 IT분야의 새로운 키워드로 빠르게 부상하고 있다. 웹이 진화하면서 데이터뿐 아니라 응용 프로그램까지 데스크톱에서 벗어나 외부 데이터센터에 응용 프로그램들을 저장해 놓고 쓸 수 있는 환경이 도래하고 있다. 이는 곧 모든 면에서 비용절감을 할 수 있고, 언제 어디서나 편리하게 사용할 수 있다는 것이다. 이런 장점을 가진 클라우드 컴퓨팅도 그리드 컴퓨팅처럼 나온 지 수년이 지났음에도 불구하고 아직 대중화되지 못하고 있는 가운데, 과연 클라우드 컴퓨팅이 시장진입 및 대중화에 성공할 가능성이 있는지 여부를 확인해 보고자 한다. 현재 클라우드 시장의 현황을 알아보고, 추후 시장에서 성공적인 영역으로 발전하기 위해 문제점 및 갖추어야 할 요건이 무엇인지 제시하고자 한다.; Cloud Computing borrowing IT resources by On Demand through the internet is emerging as a new keyword now. At present, the Cloud Computing market is going through the early introduction stage, focusing on individual consumer market. However, in order for it to enter the growth stage on a full scale, it is needed to spread its influence in company market, and those problems should be solved in advance, such as cultivating applications and services fit for the level of companies, stable SLA-based services, terminating concerns about security, securing best practices and references and expending the linkage with the existing system, etc. The advent of a new computing paradigm offers even our country new opportunities. Portals, communication providers and SI businesses are given a chance to enter the Cloud infra market while medium and small sized companies are given a new environment to distribute their own applications through various SW distribution channels. However, they seem to be exposed to a much harsher competition than ASP, Web hard and Web-hosing companies. In order for the activation of Cloud echo-system in the future, endeavor to build a single Cloud, preparation for a potential disaster, expansion of management authority about self-information and expansion of mutual operation through utilizing the standard will be needed in various levels.
