문항반응이론에서 실수(失手)를 이용한 성별간 차이

Abstract

성차(Differences of gender)는 고대로부터 많은 관심대상으로 여겨져 왔다. 본 연구에서는 교육측정평가측면에서 문항반응이론(Item response theory, IRT)에 근거한 대학신입생 성취도검사자료를 이용하여 피험자의 문항에 대한 ‘slip'를 정의하고 이에 대한 성별(Gender) 차이를 분석하였다. 여기서 ‘slip’이란 문항모수 중 그 문항에 대한 난이도보다 피험자 능력치가 높음에도 불구하고 그 해당 문항을 맞추지 못하였을 때 그 피험자는 해당 문항에 대해 ‘slip’이라고 정의한다. 분석 결과, 화학(25개 문항)에서는 전체적으로 ‘slip’에 대해서 여학생이 남학생에 비해 유의하게 많은 것으로 분석되었다(남학생=3.7561.906 vs. 여학생=4.5621.973; p<0.0001). 결론적으로, 화학에서는 분명한 성차를 보였으며 수학 물리학에서는 전체적으로 slip에 차이가 없었으나 몇몇 문항에서 성차를 발견 할 수 있었다. 이는 성에 따라 올바른 인지능력에도 불구하고 서로 다른 문항반응패턴이 존재한다는 것을 뜻한다. 따라서 교수학습에 있어서 성에 따라 다른 처방 혹은 진단이 필요하다는 것을 의미한다고 하겠다.; In summary of this research's conclusion, first, I assumed the subject's ability based on the Item Response Theory (IRT) and defined the 'slip', one of the subject item response error types, by using it. Second, there was the obvious difference between the gender in chemical item. In Mathematics and Physics, there was not totally different among the 'slip' but the gender's bias could be found at some items. It meant that there were several each other item error type patterns according to the gender despite that he/she had the remarkable intelligence. That was to say, it meant that teaching and learning effect could influence a teaching method as well as each other prescription or diagnosis according to the gender. Therefore, the following study will reify and develop the general concept of the 'slip' and research the relationship between the error type pattern and the teaching method and moreover focus the methodology for maximizing the efficiency of substantial teaching and learning. Also, the validity and verification of the 'slip' concept that this study proposed will be researched hereafter.
