Abstract
Since Sputnik 1 was first launched to the space in 1957, rivalry between the two superpowers, the United States and the Soviet Union, was expressed through the space race and a dramatic progress has been made in the space development during 1960s. At that time, space industry was a field of strong symbolic meaning to show off technical power of science of one country and to make national people to have pride centering on the field of projectile and satellite. The cold war was ended up in 1990s, and the space industry faced an entirely new environment. Since the Soviet Union collapsed in 1990s, the space industry has been virtually led by the US alone and Japan, Europe and China have made significant progress while trying to catch up the pace. and after 2000s, since global warming and depletion of resources were emerged as all global issues, development of the space is being researched as an alternative plan to solve these problems. According to the information through Lunar satellites like smart-1 or apollo, there are a lot of valuable materials like He-3, Silicon and water in polar region on moon. Accordingly, in 2004, Space Exploration Vision containing specific plan of the future development of space such as space exploration and construction of lunar base was announced and subsequently, Japan, Europe, and China also announced mid- and long-term development plan containing the plans of space exploration, construction of lunar base, and etc. At present, advanced countries in the space such as the US and Japan have started the development of exploration satellite and Rover for investigation and exploration of resources of lunar environment and researches on construction method and materials for the moon base of to be constructed in around 2025 are also endeavored. According to this, the space construction field will be settled down as the main field of the space industry together with the existing development of projectile and satellite. Currently, researches related to the space construction are being carried out by organizations of the development of space of each country such as NASA, JAXA, and etc but these countries are implementing their unique researches to prevent outflow of technologies of their own countries. Consequently, it is believed necessary to enact standards of the space construction in the future for establishing mutual compatibility of the space construction of each country conducting researches on the space. Therefore, in this research, research trend and future prospects of the space construction is analyzed for enacting the space construction standards and what standards of the space construction are required to be enacted per each period are researched.
