Nicolaus Bruhns의 오르간 음악에 대한 연구 : Praeludium in e minor를 중심으로

Abstract

브룬스는 17세기 바로크시대 북독일 악파의 대표적 작곡가로서 바이올리니스트와 오르가니스트를 병행했던 음악가이다. 또한, 이러한 음악적 활동을 토대로 한 그의 작품들에는 그 당시의 음악적 특징이 잘 나타나있다. 본 논문은 니콜라우스 브룬스 (Nicolaus Bruhns:1665-1697)의 오르간 곡 중 Praeludium in e minor에 대한 것을 주제로 여러 문헌을 바탕으로 작품의 배경을 살펴보고 이론적 분석을 통해 곡의 내용과 형식 및 구조적인 면을 고찰하였다. 우선 브룬스의 현존하는 5개의 오르간 작품을 통해서 북독일 악파의 음악적 특징을 살펴보려고 한다. 그의 오르간 작품은 코랄 환상곡(Chorale fantasia)인 Nun komm der Heiden Heiland(이제 이방인들에게 구세주가 오시리니)의 한 곡과 토카타(Toccata) 형식의 Praeludium in G major, Praeludium in g minor, 규모가 큰 Praeludium in e minor, 규모가 작은 Praeludium in e minor의 4곡으로 모두 5개의 작품이 있다. 본 논문에서는 북독일의 자유로운 형식인 판타지 스타일을 잘 보여주는 규모가 큰 Praeludium in e minor를 분석하였다.; Nicolaus Bruhns was a composer whom are regarded as a delegate of the Northern German school of the 17th century's Baroque music. And he was a musician of both an organ and a violin. His works are well-known for the stereo-type of the age that he belongs to. This thesis is intended for Praeludium in e minor, one of the organ pieces composed by Nicolaus Bruhns(1665-1697). The backgrounds of the work are studied on the grounds of many documents concerned and the contents, forms and structures of the work are analysed by a theoretical research. The musical characteristics of the Northern German school are reflected on the remaining five organ works of N. Bruhns: Nun komm der Heiden Heiland (Chorale fantasia), Praeludium in G major, and Praeludium in g minor, Praeludium in e minor and Praeludium in e minor (Toccata). Especially, Praeludium in e minor is an masterpiece that shown the fantasia style which are considered as the Northern German school's toccata characteristic.
