기업경영성과에 미치는 지식경영 요소에 관한 연구

Abstract

지식기반의 사회에서는 지식의 생산적 가치와 활용의 중요성에 대한 일반 대중의 인식이 보편화되고 있다. 지식은 사회 각 분야에서 생산성을 제고하기 위한 경영수단으로써 뿐만 아니라 국가경쟁력 강화를 위한 정책원천으로써 이론적 연구와 실제적 관심의 초점이 되고 있다. 일찍이 Daniell Bell(1973)은 그의 저서에서 지식과 정보에 근거한 서비스산업이 노동력과 자본력에 바탕을 둔 제조업 분야를 능가하여 미래사회의 중추적인 삶의 양식으로 정착될 것이라고 밝힌 바 있다. 즉 고용관계의 질적 변화와 산업구조의 고도화는 지식기반 경제구조에 의하여 이루어진다는 것이다. Drucker(1993)는 후기자본주의에서 지식은 전통적 자원(노동, 자본, 토지)과는 질적으로 다른 유일한 자원으로 간주된다고 보고 있으며, 미래 사회학자인 Toffler(1990) 또한 고위권력과 권력이동의 핵심적 원천으로써 지식의 중요성을 강조하고 있다. 본 연구는 지식의 인지라는 목적을 달성하기 위하여 기존문헌에서 언급된 성공적 지식경영 사례를 분석하고, 이들 기업들이 가지는 특징을 산업별로 요약하여 추출하였다. 이를 바탕으로 하여 산업별로 성공적인 지식경영을 위한 전략 프레임워크를 제안하였다. 제안된 전략 프레임워크를 기초로 산업별의 특성에 맞는 효과적인 지식경영전략을 제시하였다.

Today, we live in the knowledge-based society. Generally, the importance of value and exploitation of knowledge is recognized by the ordinary people. Knowledge is not only an useful instrument to enhance the productivity of a firm, but also a source of policy making. Toffler (1990) also argues for the significance of knowledge as a foundation of power shifting. This study analyzes the successful knowledge management cases in the prior research and figures out the traits of the companies successfully achieved knowledge management by industry. Based on case study, this study is suggesting the framework for successful knowledge management and effective knowledge-based strategy for each industry. I categorize the knowledge management strategy into 4 types and I suggest the proper system for knowledge management. Finally, I also suggest the plan for changing the structure and paradigm of the organization.
