Abstract
Single-walled carbon nanotube was dispersed in the surfactant aqueous solution. The dispersed SWNTs can be characterized using UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, calculated yields, and TGA. As a result, the dispersing power of the three surfactants followed the trend, DOC > SDBS >SDS. And it was interesting to note that CMC could disperse well the SWNTs when compared to BCMC and ACMC. Therefore, CMC was chosen as the optimum concentration of the surfactant. With this knowledge, the optimum ratio of SWNT-to-surfactants ratio was determined to be 3:1 for the all surfactants. The concentration of SWNTs coating solution was 0.025wt%. The solution was spin-coated onto the PET films. The coated PET film measured transmittance(%), optical microscope, and sheet resistance using the 4-point prove measurement apparatus. The transmittance value of SWNTs film is 82% (bare PET : 88%), and the sheet resistance of SWNTs film is 7.7×104Ω/□.
