Abstract
모바일 기술의 발전으로 모바일 미디어는 저널리즘에 전면으로 등장하였는데, 특히 스마트폰의 앱(APP) 뉴스와 웹(Web) 뉴스는 스마트폰의 빠른 보급률로 중요한 뉴스 채널이 되고 있다. 이에 언론사들도 스마트폰 애플리케이션 서비스를 제공하며 적극적인 뉴 미디어 시대에 적응하는 태도를 보이고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 이용과 충족 이론을 바탕으로 모바일 뉴스에 대해 이용 동기, 이용 행태가 이용 만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 모바일 미디어 중에서도 스마트폰의 애플리케이션을 통해 뉴스를 접하는 앱(APP)뉴스와 스마트폰 인터넷을 통해 뉴스를 접하는 웹(Web)뉴스를 비교 분석하여 어떠한 차이점이 있는지를 분석하였으며 앱 뉴스와 웹 뉴스를 모두 이용했던 성인들을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 구체적으로는 첫째, 이용 동기에 있어서 앱(App) 뉴스와 모바일 웹(Web)뉴스에 차이점은 있는가?, 둘째, 이용 행태에 있어서 앱(App) 뉴스와 모바일 웹(Web)뉴스에 차이점은 있는가?. 셋째, 이용 동기와 행태에 있어서 앱(App) 뉴스와 모바일 웹(Web) 뉴스의 만족도의 차이는 있는가? 이다. 이러한 연구문제를 분석하기 위해 문헌 연구와 공신력 있는 기관들의 최근 조사 자료, 기사 자료를 수집했으며 앱 뉴스와 웹 뉴스를 모두 이용해 본 경험이 있는 20대 이상의 성인들을 대상으로 온라인과 오프라인에서 동시에 설문 조사를 실시하였고 SPSS 통계 패키지를 활용하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 이용 동기에 있어서 둘 다 ‘편재성’, ‘시간 소비성’, ‘정보성’, ‘편리한 정보습득성’ 네 가지 요인이 추출되었으며 평균점수를 낸 결과 앱 뉴스는 ‘정보성’이 이용 동기의 큰 이유였으며 웹 뉴스의 경우 ‘편리한 정보습득’이 이용 동기의 이유인 것으로 밝혀졌다. ‘편재성’과 ‘시간 소비성’은 공통된 이용 동기임이 드러났다. 이용 행태에 있어서는 ‘정독’ ‘속독’ ‘활용’ 세 가지 요인이 추출되었고 평균 점수를 낸 결과 앱 뉴스는 ‘속독’ 요인이, 웹 뉴스는 ‘정독’과 ‘활용’ 요인의 점수가 높게 나타났다. 앱 뉴스의 경우는 이용 동기에서도 높은 점수를 보인 속보성이나 필요한 것만 짧은 시간 안에 읽기 때문에 속독하는 행태를 보이고 웹 뉴스의 경우 자신이 관심 있거나 필요한 것에 대한 뉴스를 검색하여 내용을 모두 읽거나 필요한 것은 스크랩 또는 메일 첨부를 하는 등 다양하게 활용하며 읽는 다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 뉴스를 이용하는 평균 시간으로 이어졌는데 앱 뉴스의 경우는 40분인 반면, 웹 뉴스는 74분이었다. 만족도의 차이에서는 웹 뉴스의 만족도 점수가 높이 나왔는데 특히 뉴스를 활용하는 이용 행태가 높은 만족도로 이어진 것은 눈여겨 볼 점이다. 본 연구는 앱 뉴스와 웹 뉴스의 이용 동기, 행태, 만족도 비교 분석을 통해 향후 언론사의 뉴스 애플리케이션 방향에 가이드라인이 되고자 하였으며 새로운 매체의 이용 동기 및 행태가 만족도에 미치는 영향에 대한 자료를 제시하고자 하였다.|Because mobile technology stands on cutting edge, mobile media goes a line in front of journalism. Especially, smartphone application news and web news become significant news channel as smartphone come into wide use fast. As they provide smartphone application services, presses are adapted aggressively into new media era. For that, this study researched that motivation and using behavior how to influence using gratification based on use and gratification theory. This study analyzed differences between App news users connect by application and Web news users connect by Internet with smartphone especially among mobile media. It focused on adults who use both of App news and Web news. Specifically, first, were there distinctions in using motivation between App news and mobile Web news? Second, were there differences in using behavior between App news and mobile Web news? Third, were there disparities in gratification between App news and mobile Web news? As it endeavor to analyze this research issues, this study collected researched data from literal studies and organizations that have public confidence and news articles. This study progressed online and offline surveys for over 20 year-old adults who have ever experienced both kinds of App news and Web news. The data was analyzed by SPSS statistical package. As the results of the analysis, in using motivation both of them deduced four factors, called 'omnipresence', 'time consumable', 'informative', and 'comfortable information acquisition'. As the results of average, App news took informative as the most motivated reason, and Web news took comfortable information acquisition as the most motivated reason. It showed that omnipresence and time consumable were common using motivation. In using behavior, three factors appeared that 'perusal', 'speed reading', and 'utilization'. As the results of average, App news got the highest point at speed-reading, and Web news got the high grade at perusal and utilization. In case of App news, speed-reading appeared with breaking news, which showed high point at using motivation and reading short article as selection. In case of Web news, users searched news of their interests or needs and read the whole article or made it verity like clipping and e-mail addition. The results made difference of average using time for each mobile news type, so that App news took time for 40 minutes but Web news got 74 minutes. In distinction of gratification, Web news received the higher grade than App news, because using behavior especially to utilize news was connected to higher satisfaction, as it gets to the point.
