위키문화콘텐츠 사례 분석과 제작방안 연구

Abstract

우리는 지금 인터넷이 가져온 네트워크와 지식의 광범위한 확장을 통해 급진적으로 변화하는 세상을 체감하고 있다. 이러한 패러다임의 변화를 가리켜 많은 학자들은 '웹2.0', '집단지성', '위키노믹스', '프로듀시지', ‘크라우드소싱’ 등등의 용어로 설명하고 있는데 이러한 진단들은 모두 “인터넷의 확장으로 사람들의 사고와 생활방식이 변화했으며 우리 앞에 닥친 문제들은 대규모 협업을 통해서 해결가능하다”는 결론으로 모아지고 있다. 본 논문은 웹을 통한 대규모 협업방식으로 제작된 문화콘텐츠를 ‘위키문화콘텐츠’라 명명하고 사례들을 면밀히 분석함으로써 새로운 패러다임의 작동원리가 문화콘텐츠에는 어떻게 적용되고 있는지 살펴보았다. 기존과 전혀 다른 제작방식은 문화콘텐츠의 생산과 향유의 과정에서 대중에게 전달되는 가치를 확장 또는 전복시키면서 혁신적인 즐거움을 발산하고 있었다. 물론 협업의 과정에서 크라우드소싱이란 이름으로 대중의 노동력을 값싸게 착취한다는 우려가 제기되고 저작권에 관한 이슈 역시 해결해야 하지만 위키문화콘텐츠들은 이전과는 전혀 다르고 좀 더 선한 가치를 만들어내고 있다는 점에서 주목할 만하다. 넓게 하지만 빠르게 연결되어 있는 대중이 새로운 세상의 무수한 중심으로 자리잡고 있는 혁신의 시대에 등장한 위키문화콘텐츠의 발전 가능성과 구체적 제작 방법론을 모색해보고 그것이 지닌 시대적 함의를 찾아보았다. | We are all currently experiencing a world that is rapidly developing through the expansion of knowledge and network, which has been acquired through the Internet. Many scholars use the terms; such as ‘Web2.0’, ‘Collective Intelligence’, ‘Wikinomics’, ‘Produsage’ and ‘Crowdsourcing’ to describe the change of the paradigm. These statements conclude that “the lives and thoughts of people have been changed through the expansion of the Internet and our problems can be solved with a mass collaboration. The current research analyses the ‘Wiki Cultural Contents’, which was produced by a mass collaboration through the Internet and look at the fundamentals of the new paradigm and how the cultural contents are being applied. The new form of production brings innovative enjoyment through expansion of the value that is passed on to the public through cultural contents production. Although, there are worries about the process of collaboration, where the term “Crowdsourcing” is used to describe the worry about a situation where labor is being exploited. However, Wiki Cultural Contents is certainly different and notable from any other processes that existed before and hopes to create a value of good will.
