Abstract
Colorants were the discovery of Mauve by W.H. Perkin in 1856 which marked the start of the synthetic dye industry. The traditional applications for dyes were known dying for fabrics. However, the last 20years, and particularly the last decade, has witnessed a phenomenal rise in the growth of dyes for high-technology applications. Dyes, and related ultraviolet and particularly infrared active molecules, which have been specifically designed for these hi-tech applications, are generally called “founctional dyes”. Functional dyes were demanded different optical and physical properties, which was the fast responce of chromic change corresponsive with their change of circumstances. Ph. D. course reaserch area was computational molecular design, organic synthesis and fabrication to apply high-technology. The subject of my Ph.D. research was some of these π-conjugated materials, namely porphyrazine for bio-imaging application. To apply as bio-imaging, the optical properties of porphyrazine derivative was optimized by reducing the intermolecular interaction, and it focused to study of the porphyrazine derivative which can dissolve in water. The optimized structure with a water-soluble were analyzed their performance by application for bio-imaging.
