- Abstract
- A trifunctional monomolecular medium, 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-pyrrolidone (HEP), was utilized to show effective reducing and stabilizing activities for the preparation of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs), along with solvent activity. This HEP also enable to preserve olefin carrier activity of Ag NPs with help of an electron acceptor such as 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ), resulting in high mixed gas selectivity for the separation of propylene/propane mixture in the facilitated olefin transport membrane using Pebax 2533 (poly(amide)-b-ethylene oxide) as polymer matrix.
