동반자 유형에 따른 한옥형 호텔 객실공간의 실내디자인 선호도 연구

Abstract

(연구배경 및 목적) 현재 한옥형 호텔은 체험적 측면에만 국한되어 있어 다양한 동반자 유형을 고려하지 않은 숙박시설을 제공하고 있다. 그러므로 동반자 유형에 따른 한옥형 호텔의 특화된 숙박시설을 계획하고 다방면으로 획기적인 방안을 모색하는 것이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 동반자 유형에 따른 한옥형 호텔 객실공간의 실내디자인 특성에 대한 구체적인 디자인 선호도를 도출하여 한옥형 호텔 객실 공간 계획 시 기초자료로 제공하는 것에 목적을 두었다. (연구방법) 연구 방법은 한옥형 호텔 이용 경험이 있는 일반인 남녀 40명을 동반자 유형별로 분류하고 그들을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하였다. 심층면접에서 사용된 이미지는 최근 10년간 발간된 국내 실내디자인 관련 전문잡지와 인터넷 전문 포털 사이트에서 적용 가능한 이미지를 수집하였다. 연구 범위는 한옥형 호텔의 객실공간 중 거실공간과 침실공간으로 한정하였고 최종 사용된 이미지들은 공간별로 각각 6개이다. (결과) 본 연구를 통해 도출된 결과는 첫째, 한옥형 호텔의 객실공간에 대한 선호이미지 및 형용사 이미지 스케일의 결과는 공간마다 다른 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 동반자 유형에 따라 객실 공간 선호이미지의 차이를 조사한 결과 뚜렷한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 부부는 거실공간과 침실공간 모두 절충형 이미지를 가장 선호한 반면에 아동동반 가족은 모든 공간에서 전통형 이미지를 선택하였다. 성인동반 가족은 거실공간에서 절충형 이미지를 선호하였고, 침실공간은 현대형 이미지를 선호하여 공간별 선호도가 다른 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 동반자 유형에 따른 한옥형 호텔 객실 공간 선호이미지 선택 시 영향을 미친 형용사 이미지를 조사한 결과 부부는 다른 집단과는 달리 다양한 형용사 이미지를 선택하였다. 넷째, 전반적으로 동반자 유형에서 가장 많이 도출된 형용사는 “편안한” 으로 모든 사용자가 편안함을 추구하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 다섯째, 동반자 유형에 따른 한옥형 호텔 객실 공간 선호이미지 선택 시 영향을 미친 실내디자인 요소를 조사한 결과 동반자 유형 모두 “가구”가 가장 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. (결론) 본 연구는 심층면접을 통해 한옥형 호텔 객실공간의 실내디자인 선호도를 분석하고 동반자 유형에 따른 차이점을 고려하여 그들이 실내공간에서 시각적으로 선호하는 요소들과 그 구체적인 이유들을 도출하였다. 이는 한옥형 호텔 설계 시 동반자 유형에 대한 중요도를 제시하여 기초자료의 기반이 될 수 있다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.(Background and Purpose) Currently, Hanok Style Hotels are limited in their experiential aspect; in other words, they provide accommodation without considering various companion types. Hence, it is necessary to plan the special accommodation facilities of Hanok Style Hotels according to the types of companions who frequent the facilities, using innovative approaches that affect various aspects. The purpose of this study was therefore to provide the basic design data for the guest rooms in Hanok Style Hotels by identifying specific design preferences for interior design characteristics. (Method) Our study method classified 40 ordinary users who had experience in overnight stays at Hanok Style Hotels, according to their companion types, and conducted in-depth interviews with them to analyze their preferences using images of the guest rooms. The images used in the interviews were collected from domestic interior design magazines over the last 10 years and the internet. The research scope was limited to living room and bedroom spaces. (Results) The results of this study are as follows: First, the results of image preferences and image adjective scales for Hanok Style Hotel guest rooms differ according to the space. Second, depending on the companion type, there were significant differences in guest room image preferences. While couples preferred alterations in the images of both living rooms and bedroom spaces, families with children chose traditional images for all spaces. Adult companions favored images of compact living rooms and modern bedroom spaces. Third, the image adjectives related to preferences in Hanok Style Hotel guest rooms were examined according to the type of companion. In the results, couples, unlike other groups, selected more varied image adjectives. Fourth, the most common adjectives according to companion type were “comfortable,” yet all users were seeking comfort. Fifth, “furniture” was the most influential factor for all companion types. (Conclusions) This study analyzed the interior design preferences for Hanok Style Hotel guest rooms through in-depth interviews. Considering differences according to companion types, it drew out visual preference factors for indoor spaces and the specific reasons for these preferences. The basic data implies that companion type is an important consideration for the design of Hanok Hotels.
