IFRS 적용을 위한 종신보험의 보험계약부채 공정가치 산출에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 IFRS 17 전환방법 중 공정가치법을 사용하여 종신보험의 대표적인 보유계약에 대한 전환 시 보험계약마진() 및 IFRS 17 보험계약부채를 직접적으로 산출한 후 현행 책임준비금과의 차이를 분석하였다. 공정가치법 적용 시 할인율에 채무불이행위험을 반영해야하기 때문에 본 연구 결과 분석대상 종신보험계약의 전환일의 보험계약부채 공정가치가 IFRS 17 이행현금흐름보다 작게 산출되어 = 0의 값을 갖는 것으로 분석되었다. 기본분석 대상인 예정이율 5.5%인 금리확정형 종신보험계약은 IFRS 17 전환 시 부채가 약 8.0%p 증가하나, 예정이율 3.75%와 최저보증이율 2.5%인 금리연동형 종신보험계약은 전환 시 부채가 현행 책임준비금보다 약 4.5%p 작아지는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구에서는 순채무불이행위험 적용율의 변동, 자본비용률의 변동, 시장금리의 변동, 장기수렴금리 변동 및 종신보험상품 변경 등에 따른 민감도분석도 수행하였다. Using the fair value approach for IFRS 17 transition, this study directly computes the contractual service margin(CSM) and the insurance contract liability under IFRS 17 for representative Whole Life product contracts, and then compares them with the current reserves. Because a non-performance risk should reflect the discount rate used in fair value approach, the fair value at the transition date is lower than the fulfillment cash flow under IFRS 17, and so CSM is equal to zero. As a result, IFRS 17 liability of the fixed interest whole life insurance contract(5.5% of the assumed rate) is increased by 8.0%p compared to the current reserve, but IFRS 17 liability of the interest sensitive whole life insurance contract(3.75% of the assumed rate and 2.5% of the minimum guaranteed rate) is decreased by 4.5%p at the transition date. This study also carries out the sensitivity analysis for changes of main variables.
