Abstract
In this study, tsunami height was estimated and the best-fit distribution was examined through a combination of numerical analysis methods and statistical techniques. A statistical analysis of the tsunami height was conducted using the best-fit distribution. Numerical analysis was used to estimate the tsunami height, and parameters were estimated using the L-moment method for the estimated tsunami height. It was possible to select the best-fit distribution of the tsunami height at the target area and to predict the tsunami height quantitatively through the analysis of the selected best-fit distribution graph. Therefore, it is expected that the proposed method can be utilized for preparing hazard maps and designing ports.
