Abstract
Abstract Effect of CNT-TNT Hybrid Nano–Reinforcing on the Properties of Cementitious Paste Recently, nano-enhancement technology has been increasingly used in cement-based materials to improve its performance. In this paper, We synthesize TNTs by hydrothermal method, and TNTs was used as an additive and the effect of the different contents of TNTs on the mechanical properties, hydration process, and microstructure of cement-based materials was investigated. The effects of CNTs and TNTs hybridization were also explored. Experimental results show that Compared with pure cement paste when adding CNTs and 0.5% TNTs, the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength have relatively good reinforcing effects. In addition, it was found that the CNTs and TNTs accelerated the rate of hydration at the early age of the reaction process. Hybrid carbon nanotubes and titanium nanotubes improve the mechanical properties of cement materials, accelerate hydration rate but inhibit the overall process of hydration.
