일본 방송 개방에 대한 방송 전문가 인식 연구

Abstract

우리나라는 2000년, 2004년 두 차례에 걸쳐 일본 대중문화 개방 정책의 일환으로 일본 방송을 단계적으로 개방한 이래 지금에 이르고 있다. 그러나 자유로운 교역을 지향하는 국제무역 체제의 확립으로 방송 교역 환경이 변화함에 따라 앞으로 일본 방송 개방은 다각적인 검토를 거쳐 방향을 모색해야 하는 상황이다. 이 연구에서는 2004년 1월 1일 일본 방송 개방 이후 방송 관련 업계 종사자와 학계 전문가들의 개방에 대한 인식을 실증적으로 분석했다. 방송 전문가들의 일본 대중문화 개방에 대한 인식을 요인 분석과 회귀 분석으로 구분해 살펴보았으며, 일본 대중문화 개방에 대한 인식이 개방 속도에 대한 평가, 방송 산업에 미칠 영향에 대한 평가와 어떠한 연관 관계를 맺고 있는가를 분석했다. 이 연구는 일본 대중문화 개방에 대한 학계·업계 방송 전문가들 인식의 특성을 분석하여, 이를 토대로 이러한 인식이 일본 방송 개방에 대한 전문가들의 평가와 어떻게 연관되어 있는가를 밝힘으로써 일본 방송 개방 정책의 전개 방향과 정책적 함의를 제시했다.

The Korean Government phased in the open-door policy toward Japanese broadcast programs in 2000 and 2004, since implementing the open-door policy toward Japanese pop culture in 1998. With the changes of environment of the international trade in broadcast programs in the context offree trade, the various aspects of the open-door policy toward Japanese broadcast programs need to be thoroughly examined. Therefore, the present study attempted an empirical analysis of broadcast professionals’and researchers’perceptions of the open-door policy toward Japanese broadcast programs. The research focused on the relationship between perception of, and evaluation of the adequacy and impacts of the policy. The factor analysis on perceptions of the open-door policy toward Japanese pop culture identified five common factors which can be classified into“ concern about negative impact,”“expecting a positive influence,”and“ indifference to the impact.”
