- 유흥의 세계에서 꽃의 역할을 하는 일본의 유녀와 조선의 기생을 대상으로 미의식과 유흥의 양상을 검토한다. 실존한 인물을 대상으로 선정하여 그들이 문학을 비롯한 예능의 세계에서 어떻게 묘사되고 향유되어 왔는가, 또는 그들의 유흥과 예술의 세계에서 어떻게 미화되어 왔으며, 그것이 양국의 문화적인 의미의 유흥과는 어떤 연관을 갖고 있는지 등에 대해서 검토한다.
