지각된 부모의 심리적 통제, 완벽주의적 자기제시, 우울, 공격성 간의 구조적 관계모형 검증

Abstract

본 연구에서는 지각된 부모의 심리적 통제, 완벽주의적 자기제시, 우울, 공격성 간의 관계를 구조모형을 통해 검증하고자 하였다. 또한 부모의 심리적 통제와 우울 및 공격성 간의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시의 매개효과를 확인하고, 부모의 심리적 통제와 공격성 간의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시와 우울의 이중 매개효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 수도권에 있는 남녀 중학생 328명에게 부모의 심리적 통제, 완벽주의적 자기제시, 우울, 공격성 척도를 이용하여 설문조사를 실시하였고, 이 가운데 불성실하게 응답하였거나 중도에 동의의사를 철회한 학생의 설문지를 제외한 316명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 부모의 심리적 통제와 우울 간의 직접 경로가 유의할 뿐 아니라, 부모의 심리적 통제와 우울 및 공격성 간의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시가 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모의 심리적 통제와 공격성 간의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시와 우울의 이중매개효과가 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 청소년들의 완벽주의적 자기제시 성향에 영향 미치는 부모의 심리적 통제라는 환경적 특성을 발견할 수 있었고, 이로 인한 결과로서 우울 및 공격성과 같은 청소년의 내적 특성에 이르게 된다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다는 데에 그 의의가 있다. 또한, 부모의 심리적 통제가 완벽주의적 자기제시와 우울의 순차적 과정을 통해 청소년의 공격성에 영향 미친다는 것을 살펴볼 수 있었다는 데에 시사점이 있다.

This study sought to examine the relationship between adolescent’s perceived parents’ psychological control, perfectionistic self-presentation, depression, and aggression. Additionally, we attempted to elucidate the mediating role of perfectionistic self-presentation between parents’ psychological control and depression/aggression, and to investigate the mediating role of perfectionistic self-presentation and depression between parents’ psychological control and aggression. For the purposes of this study, the survey data of 316 middle school students in capital area were harvested and then analyzed. The results were as follows. First, perceived parents’ psychological control had an impact upon perfectionistic self-presentation and depression. In addition, perfectionistic self-presentation worked as a mediating factor in the relationship between parents’ psychological control and depression, between parents’ psychological control and aggression. Second, the dual mediating effects of perfectionistic self-presentation and depression were found to be significant. In other words, parents’ psychological control had an influence upon perfectionistic self-presentation amongst adolescents, and adolescents with strong perfectionistic self-presentation experienced more depression which in turn had an effect on aggression. Based on these results, the process of influencing depression and aggression by better understanding key environmental and internal variables was discussed.
