Abstract
This study aimed to analyze embodied environmental costs of apartment buildings using end-point life cycle assessment model. To this end, 443 apartment buildings of 38 apartment complex built in Korea from 2005 to 2014 were selected as the sample of this study, and embodied environmental impacts and costs of 6 major building materials (Ready-mixed concrete, rebar, glass, insulation, concrete brick, and gypsum board) were evaluated by analyzing the bill of quantities. As a result, the quantitative embodied environmental costs were analyzed by structures and plan types of apartment buildings.
