EBS 인터넷 수능방송의 시청동기 및 커뮤니케이션 요인이 학습효과에 미치는 영향

Abstract

이 연구는 EBS 인터넷수능방송의 강의자와 학습자의 커뮤니케이션 요인이 학습효과에 미치는 영향에 대한 실증적인 조사이다. 구체적으로 학습자가 인지하는 강의자의 커뮤니케이션 스타일과 전문성, 수능방송 시청동기와 의사인간관계가 학습효과 형성에 기여하는 정도를 분석했다. 집단 설문지 방식에 따라 234부의 응답에 대해 분석한 결과 아홉 개의 수능방송 이용동기가 밝혀졌다. 이 동기들은 학습을 위한 시청과 같은 목적지향의 도구적 욕구충족과 함께, 기분전환과 시간 보내기와 같은 비도구적 욕구충족 동기를 대변하는 특징을 보였다. 강의자의 배려스타일은 학습효과와 긍정적인 상관성을, 반면에 자기주장스타일은 부정적인 상관성을 보였다. 강의자의 전문성과 강의자와의 의사인간관계는 학습효과와 긍정적으로 상관하였다. 위계적 회귀분석의 결과는 학습자의 정보이용의 편리성 동기, 내신보충 동기, 의사인간관계가 긍정적으로 학습효과 형성에 기여함을 밝혔다. 또한 공격적이고 독단적인 강의자 스타일은 학습효과에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 커뮤니케이션 요인을 감안하는 교육이 지니는 합리성과 효율성을 반영하는 후속 연구를 제안하고 논의하였다.

This study explored the influence of communication factors, including viewing motivations, parasocial interaction, communication style, and professionalism, of EBS Internet Education Program on learning effects. Three three research questions were examined. The first question found 9 viewing motivations. The finding implied active viewers watch the EBS Program both for instrumental use and habitual use. The second question revealed assertive communication style had negative correlation with learning effects, while responsive communication style had positive correlation with learning effects. The third question discovered significant influence of viewing motives, including convenience of information use and reinforcement school records in addition to parasocial interaction with instructor and professionalism of instructor. Particularly, assertive style of instructor had negative impact on learning effects. Implication of the results and future research agenda, including comparative study on countries with different culture and education environments, were suggested and discussed.
