대정관의 설립과 변천에 관한 연구

Abstract

대정관은 1912년 설립되어 1935년 폐관된 무성영화시대 경성의 일본인 영화관을 대표하는 장소이다. 1910년 조선이 일본의 식민지로 전락하자 조선의 영화산업은 조선에 거주하던 일본인 흥행업자들에 의해 장악되었다. 이중 대정관을 설립한 닛다 고이치는 1910년대 조선의 흥행업을 주도하던 대표적인 인물이었으며 대정관은 닛다 고이치 이후 닛다 고이치의 형제들과 이후 후쿠자키 하마노스케 등이 운영했다. 이 논문은 무성영화시대 영화관의 모습과 운영에 대한 일반적인 내용을 포함하여 일본 최대의 영화회사인 닛카츠의 조선대리점으로 조선의 영화흥행업을 주도하였던 대정관과 대정관을 설립하고 운영했던 닛다 형제들, 그리고 폐관 당시 영화관을 운영하던 후쿠자키 하마노스케 등이 일본 내의 영화회사들과 어떠한 관계를 맺었는지 살펴보고 무성영화시대 조선의 일본인 영화관과 일본 내의 영화회사들이 조선을 일본영화의 소비지로 이용했음을 밝히고 있다. 이를 통해 조선의 영화산업이 형성 초기부터 식민지적 특성을 배태하고 있었음을 확인 할 수 있다.

Established in 1912 and closed in 1935, Daejeongkwan is the place to represent the Japanese cinema of Kyungsung in the silent picture days. When Joseon became a Japanese colony in 1910, the Joseon film industry was dominated by Japanese merchants who lived in Joseon. Nitta Koichi who established Daejeongkwan was a representative person who led the Joseon entertainment industry of the 1910s. After the operation of Nitta Koichi, Daejeongkwan was run by brothers of Nitta Koichi and Fukuzaki Hamanosuke. This paper contains the appearance and management of the movie theater in the silent picture days and searches if brothers of Nitta Koichi and Fukuzaki Hamanosuke have made a relationship with a Japanese movie company. In silent films era, Japanese cinemas in Joseon and Japanese movie companies use Joseon as a consumer of Japanese movies. As can be seen from the case of the Japanese cinema represented by Daejeongkwan, the Joseon film industry had colonial characteristics limited to the empire ‘s consumption area from the beginning of the formation.
