Abstract
As the world changes into a smart one that values user experience of human, products satisfying such user experience are developing. There are also products covered by this concept but not for adults. The scope of the user experience designs expands to contents for infants and toddlers and researches have been focused on educations and their contents in better environment. Thus, this study analyzed the user experience designs from contents for infants and toddlers of between 0 and 3 years old, examined a variety of user experiences and tried to propose more effective direction. For such purpose, ``Montessori Korea`` which have received Korea Educational Brand Awards for 4 consecutive years and ``Hansol Finden Bebe`` which received an innovation award from iF Design Award 2015 were selected for the case study. As a result of reviewing cases of ``Montessori Korea`` and ``Hansol Finden Bebe``, it clearly indicated the areas of various user experience designs. Products based on the educational philosophy and experience elements that are different from those of other brands were selected for analysis and they were classified into experience elements along with aesthetic elements, useful elements and meaning elements of the user experience elements and then analyzed reviewing them using user experience design process. The result of analysis showed that Baby Montessori and Finden Bebe were designed with most of their forms, functions, colors and quality achieving customer satisfaction. However, negative aspects were also revealed alongside positive aspects. The fact is that users of contents for infants and toddlers of between 0 and 3 years old are not the kids alone. Those who help their education right beside, namely parents, should also be taken into account. Educational materials or tools for kids can offer innovative educational environment subject to massive investments. However, shortcomings were also found for the parent guide. The analysis of the user needs revealed a number of parents reported their difficulty in understanding the parent guide on how to educate their kids. As education with same characteristics and nature cannot apply to every kid, it was also indicated that parents had considerable differences according to their individual competence and environment. Given the characteristics of the educational contents for those between 0 and 3 years old, it was clear that contents for the kids only cannot be accepted, thus it was intended to propose more effective method through analysis of the process elements in user experience designs. This study explored how the experience of parents and their kids using products of ``Montessori Korea`` and ``Hansol Finden Bebe`` which were selected as the cases of user experience designs interacted with the products and contributed to the user experience and examined the possibility of more effective method.
