Abstract
In previous researches, titanium-niobium oxide family (TNO group) has been widely studied and they reported that the titanium-niobium oxide has TiNbxO2+2.5x composition.1 In this study, here is the investigation of the novel anode material for lithium ion battery which never have been studied. In addition, its non-reported new composition (TiNbO4) of TiNbxO2+2.5 series, which brake the rule of composition calculation, studied in this research as bulk-type. TiNbO4 was defined the physical and electrochemical properties of TiNbO4 as well as the application on the lithium ion battery. Generally, TNO group have been well-known that they have both intrinsic pseudocapacitive behavior and Li intercalation mechanism,1 but TiNbO4 has totally pseudocapacitive mechanism during charge/discharge process. Through the in-situ XRD, CV, dQ/dV analysis, TiNbO4 was figured out the pseudo-behavior.
