- Abstract
- This study analyzes the impact of corporate ownership structure on corporate social responsibility in different types of ownership using data from enterprises listed in the China stock market from 2013 to 2017. We find that there is no significant difference in corporate social responsibility(CSR) performance between state-owned enterprises and private-owned enterprises. Central state-owned enterprises and the performance of CSR is positively correlated. However, local state-owned enterprises and CSR is negatively correlated. In state-owned enterprises, the higher the concentration of ownership, the better the performance of CSR. In private-owned enterprises, ownership dispersion has a positive impact on corporate fulfillment of CSR. Managerial ownership does not affect the performance of CSR.
