Abstract

This study is an imaginary of the transportation system and even the urban pattern after the popularization of driverless cars in Seoul in the future. Science and technology change life. Every scientific revolution is a huge innovation for people to live and travel. I try to use architectural thinking, think about what future architecture can do for people, and think about the relationship between architecture, technology, and people. When the functions of many spaces are replaced by new technologies, think about the new possibilities of the future city. Explore whether existing infrastructure based on existing transportation systems exist in the future, or what form they will exist, explore the new infrastructure that will emerge, and how it can be used in conjunction with existing transportation systems. This study uses existing data and intelligence to predict future use of driverless cars in cities, problems, and how to make transportation systems more efficient with new infrastructure. The purpose of this study is to propose a new transportation system infrastructure solution based on the characteristics of Seoul's existing transportation system and urban structure.
